Thrift Inspiration, doing it the Wang way!!

Sequins are so on trend for this season, evident in Alexander Wangs collection for A/W 08

I was lucky to bag this vintage sequin waistcoat/vest at the boot sale a few months back for £1!! The same lady also sold me some lovely satin skinny DKNY trousers for a £1 too! Anyway, this is my take on the Wang look-this piece is so versatile, I can wear it with a jumper dress, skinny polo neck and long length jeans, a floaty blouse.

Here are my £1.30 pair of jeans I got last month from the PDSA charity shop-I'm rocking the roll up look today!! Have a great weekend everyone and hope the sun shines for us all!!

Thrift Inspiration, doing it the Sonia way!

Sonia Rykiels A/W 08 collection has a great injection of colours, especially the knitwear. This time of year is when we will be digging out our jumpers and cardigans from previous winters, or doing a wishlist to stock up on some new ones-pictures from Style.com

Last winter, I was lucky to find this Sonia Rykiel jumper for a bargain £2.49 at Help The Aged charity shop-sadly it closed in August, it was a favourite of mine, where I found some other great bargains too. Anyway, its rocking the stripey, coloured trend for winter and I will be sure to wear this favourite piece to keep me cosy in the next few month!!

What is your favourite winter jumper or cardigan, that you own already or wish to buy?

Thrift Inspiration, doing it the Snakeskin way!!

I do love snakeskin-jackets, bags and shoes. Here is a jacket from Ashley Ishams A/W 08 collection, which shows this is a timeless, stylish piece and is versatile enough to go with a floaty fun dress, jeans or dressed up with smart black trousers.

I found this genuine leather jacket in the PDSA charity shop about six months ago for £5. It is brand new and is originally from Joseph, a boutique found in Sloane Street, London.

I haven't worn it yet, but it is a firm favourite of mine and something I know I can wear with anything. I thought I would share this with you!! What is your favourite item of the moment?
