Issey Miyake-No accessories required

Finally, after having this amazing suit in my wardrobe for nearly 3 years unworn now, I decided that it should be worn and certainly shown, as it really is a favourite of mine.

I found this Issey Miyake 2 piece suit at the boot sale and tried to get it for £25, but the lady wanted £30-she won, I couldn't lose it over a £5!!

Its pure wool and I think its lately nineties. Very timeless and now maxi skirts are back in trend after a long absence, I thought I would shop my own wardrobe for this style and start wearing it.

The detailing and cut is typical Issey and I could also wear these pieces as separates. I also thought minimal accessories would suit the total outfit too.

Shopping my wardrobe-Tribal Prints

Another gorgeous trend this coming season is tribal prints and designers such as Marc Jacobs and Dries Van Noten have featured them on the catwalk for summer:

I thought I'd shop my wardrobe for this trend and this summer I'll be wearing again my New Look wrap dress with a tribal print:

I'll also be wearing my Ikat print tunic by French Connection which I also purchased last year:

Fantasy Bag Tag and Award

Thanks to the gorgeous Wilderness Chic at Life the universe and all thats in it for my first award of the year, the Sunshine award.

It cheered me up no end last week and I'm passing it on to the lovely WendyB, Rebecca at Thrifty Style at Sixty, Vintage Vixen and That's not my age

My fantasy bag tag is also to the lovely ladies above too.

The general contents of my bag are the usual toot of phones, keys, mints, brush and purse.
Here is my vintage authentic Louis Vuitton purse from the boot sale (£1) to go into my fantasy bag:

This is a perfect fantasy bag for summer-a washed denim hobo bag with stylish zippers and what a great price too!!

Thrift Inspiration, Doing it Topshop Style!!

Bodycon skirts and dresses-particularly floral prints, are totally in trend this season. Topshop have a great range of different patterns, this one is available for £30:

The lighter colour one is £25:

I've wanted a bodycon floral print skirt for ages, so was pleased to find this one by Morgan at the Cancer Research charity shop last week for £3.95. I'm wearing it with my thrifted Next cardigan which was only £1, Primark belt and my new ankle peep toe boots from Matalan.

The skirt is a great fit, very snug and has a good amount of stretch to it too!!

The Times:7 ways with a pencil skirt

I still haven't worn my season basic that I bought last year-this black stretch pencil skirt by Marks and Spencer was only £3.99 from the Heart Foundation charity shop and I really want to start wearing it.

I was pleased to find this article by the Times, thanks to Jane at The Small Fabric of my Life who was suitably inspired in her current capsule wardrobe challenge.

My favourite ways to wear this skirt will be with either a long cardigan and shirt, a plain tee and belt, blazer and shirt or a silky top.
