My Pashmina Rainbow for Summer

For the last couple of years, I've been collecting different colour pashminas. Depending on the 'in' colour for the season, dictates what colours I buy for the year. Last years buys were the khaki and white ones and this year I added orange, navy, cream and camel to the collection.

I generally get mine from my local ethnic store in the High Street for £1 or £2, when I visited Lakeside Shopping Mall last month I got three for £5 and they had a lovely range of colours to choose from.

The only one not in the picture is my nude colour one, which I seem to wear so regularly, it goes with anything and everything. The coloured ones will certainly be worn this summer and will go with any type of outfits-dresses and denim mainly, either as a throw over my shoulders or as a scarf with a jacket.

How will you be injecting colour into your wardrobe for this summer?

I'm going with vintage silk scarves this year- the kitscher the better! I'll wear them with neutrals but I'm hoping to find animal prints, those ones with 'scenes of Venice' etc'- very OTT (on purpose). ;)

What a lovely rainbow of colours, Sharon. I have three pashminas - bright pink, cream and black and wear them all the time, summer or winter. Love them, they are so versatile xx

What a great idea for injecting colour. A lot of pashminas are so affordable.

I'm going to try and inject some colour with accessories - shoes, belts and scarves

What a fab collection! They are as cheap as chips in India and I've never bought one, how silly am I?
Like Perdita I like a mad vintage scarf or three, they always combine a variety of crazy colours, perfect for adding interest to a bland top. xxx

What a great collection. I wear my olive green pashmina all the time, and have another red one I bought in Singapore. I would love for my next one to be in cashmere!

I'm going to go look up "pashmina" in the on-line dictionary. (I'm thinking "scarf"...but will see!)

I really DO need to inject some color into my wardrobe. Thanks for giving me a little push in that direction :)

For Rebecca above: a Pashmina is technically a shawl-like scarf made from pashmina wool which is the soft belly hair of the Kashmere (cashmere) goat so rarely most pashminas actually are pashmina as the wool is extreamly expensive - hilarious when you buy one for £1 and the tags says 100% pashmina! I usually stock up on them in Egypt but I also live in my LV leo too x

I adore scarves - a perfect way to add a brush of colour to any given ensemble. Where would we all be without Colour?;-)

Beautiful pashminas. I love them. I've lot of scarf of any colour and texture, but only three pashminas, but I have to get some more. And a sari as well, as I'll probably have an Indian wedding in May...Ciao. A.

What a good blog post! Got me thinking but I shall be adding colour with vintage headscarfs, they make any outfit look instantly a bit cooler and definitely more colourful.

Dear Sharon, that's a lovely collection of colours.

I need to get more coloured accessories. I would love some interesting costume jewellery with colours in this season. I'm going to try and find something like the turquoise and gold necklace Rosamund Pike is wearing on my last post. Thanks for your lovely comments by the way. Unless it's in very muted colours leopard just doesn't suit me, I wish it did! xx

Scarves are one of my loves & especially old silk scarves - heavenly. You have such a great range of colours here. Happy New Year by the way. I've sadly given up on blogging due to lack of feedback and response from my 80+ followers (that does not include you who remained so very faithful throughout). But am still following faves such as you of course. take care!
