Thrift Inspiration, J Brand LoveStory Style

January is a lean month for spending on clothes, so I thought I'd re-evaluate my wardrobe for what I felt I could use regularly and to make sure I don't spend out on anything unnecessary.

Over the last couple of months I've given a few pairs of jeans away to the charity shop, styles I didn't feel suited me anymore and more importantly those that didn't fit me properly in the waist and leg.

So as a natural jeans lover I was keen to track down some replacements. This season, it seems anything goes in the jeans department-bootcut is back, boyfriend style and skinnies are still in, wideleg and 70s are in trend as is the new skinny flare style.

I have like these for a while, these are J Brands Lovestory, available at Net-A-Porter for £230:

So with some inspiration in mind, I was happy to find these in my local Sue Ryder charity shop midweek on my way to work.

They are Levis jeans and are a low rise, with skinny fit to the knee and a gentle flare to the ankle and in my favourite 34'' length too-for only £4.95 I had to snap them up.

The material is so soft and they have a stretch to them ensuring a perfect fit-these are going to be in my outfit of choice this weekend for sure!!

Its so hard to get a perfect fit in jeans, so these will be a firm favourite of mine and a good basic investment for my wardrobe.

Will you be wearing jeans this season-if so, what style, cut and colour are you going for?

Levis are always good quality and a bargain price too! I have some wide leg jeans I bought a couple of years back that I love, they seem to make my legs look longer, obviously have a pair of skinny jeans that are my constant go-to pair for going out but I have bought a pair of bootcut apple-bottom jeans in a sale before Christmas. They designed for curvy girls, the fits quite nice but I need to get the length tailored as they are a bit too long. Hope you are having a fab weekend!

Oh how I so wish for mile long legs like yours! I'm having a denim renaissance so will be posting about it. Anyway I can only do straight and skinny (but not too skinny) both of which I've found at last.
Happy weekend!

If I had legs as long and lovely as yours I'd be wearing jeans every day. I love Levi's denim, it ages so well. Great find and such a good price.
I'll be wearing my vintage flares come the warmer months. xxx

I only ever wear skinny flares - but no jeans at all for me, I'm searching for trousers.

I love to wear jeans - just currently have none that fit. I like the color of the ones you found. And I canNOT wear low-waisted ones....that I know!

You will look so SUPER in these!

Levis never fit me...I wish they did!

I wear jeans almost every day and I'm glad you found such a great pair for a good price! My jeans style of choice is still the skinny, but I still have flares and straight legged jeans I plan on digging out soon.

Great find -- you simply can't go wrong with Levis! I adore JBrand, but can only afford them from discount stores like Nordstrom Rack because they're so expensive otherwise.

My fave everyday jeans are my skinny flares from Topshop that I got in London 3 years ago! They come in the perfect length for me and the *perfect* fit! Nowadays it's preggy pants all the way, but I hope to get back into my regular jeans a.s.a.p. after baby's born.

Well done. I have great trouble finding jeans that fit me as I have quite a big bum and hips. Would love a pair of flares this year though x

Levi's are unbeatable. Flares for me this year, definitely. Though I'll keep on wearing some skinnies tucked into boots.

Love those! I have every shape of jean... right now skoot-cut (skinny then flared into a boot cut) are my faves- perfect day-to-evening and they go well with 60s-70s vintage.

BTW- pop over to my blog post about awards (post 1)...I've awarded you! :)

Dear Sharon, what a fab pair of jeans. Another fabulous bargain!

I would love some skinny jeans. I haven't bought jeans for years so have no clue about them anymore.

I hope you had a great weekend xx

Jeans are a tricky one aren't they but good find?! I am happy to try on different styles to see what I like. I will never move away from my skinnies in lots of colours and prints and today I am wearing high waisted, wide legged numbers which are good and accentuate the curves;)

Great post.

I think it's all about the flares this season. But for walks and general sloppiness i can't give up a good pair of stretchy skinnies ;)
