Three off the wishlist!!

This weekend, I 've had a lot of luck with my thrifting and managed to knock three items off my wishlist I posted last week. We've been to Noak Hill Boot sale this weekend and I came back with 3 bags, a belt, a little black dress and a Levis waistcoat. I also went shopping for 2 more bras, too and I dropped by H&M and picked up an orange top I wanted to go with my 70s maxi skirt :-)

Jewellery to wear

In one of her previous posts, Siljes suggested jewellery to hand as a key part of your summer wardrobe. Up to that point of time, all my jewellery was kept in its box in the back of my wardrobe, thus making it inaccessible and I did not wear it!
Siljes pointed out the obvious-keep it on view, then I would wear it! Doh! It's not rocket science, but I still needed it to be pointed out to me!!

Above are some of my favourite pieces of real and costume jewellery:
Clockwise, Silver plated butterfly necklace, Gucci Tag on a gold chain, Lily Allen for New Look wishbone necklace, Mosaic Cross pendant on a gold chain from the Cistene Chapel shop in Rome, diamante CC necklace, cameo earrings, silver heart and rose necklace, S brooch, skull bracelet, silver charm bracelet (I've had this since I was little!) and my rose ring.
.

Here are todays additions-a white, turquoise and silver bead necklace and a double heart diamante brooch, both from the Red Cross Charity shop £1.99 each.

I love Stella!!

After doing the post featuring the Stella McCartney wedges, I thought I'd browse style.com for images of her summer 2008 collection.
I'm loving her whole look and take on summer and her pieces are certainly style inspiration for all you fellow thrifters who love a bargain from the charity shops, boot sales and flea markets-as you know florals, jumpsuits and 80s style are all in for this summer :-)

This last item inspired me on my thrift shopping today- I bagged a lovely blue and white seagull print, vintage sundress for only £2.49 today-I will post pictures of it soon.

Oh To Be Tagged!!

Hello darlings!! The fabulous danz@fatalfashionattraction has tagged me! As nearly all my favourite bloggers have been well and truly tagged already, I will give your six unamazing quirks about myself-ha ha ha!!

Edna Mode Rules-OK!

1. When I go thrifting at the boot sales or charity shops, I always try and get rid of something existing in my wardrobe to give to the charity shop-I love my clothes but just don't like overload in my drawers and wardrobes!!
2. I've developed a serious addiction to McDonalds Crunchie Deluxe McFlurrys-oh, they are gorgeous-I've had one every other day since Sunday (plus cheeseburger and chips beforehand!)
3. Is it a woman thing or me-I'm never satisfied with what I've got-clothes wise, that is!! I have a wishlist, go and get the said items, then I'm onto the next thing which I haven't got and must have!
4. I worry too much-I think that is definitely a woman thing!!
5. I adore summer sun-we had a heatwave from last week to this Tuesday-now its freezing and I'm worried us British have had our summer already! (Another thing to worry about)
6. I would like a dog or a cat, but we already have a hamster-his name is James and he loves climbing the bars of his cage-I will take a picture of him while he hangs from the roof of his cage-he is really cute!
Must fly, darlings-so much to do-ha ha ha!!
