Online Shopping

Last year, Uniqlo produced some tops by the legendary artist Jean Michel Basquiat. The ones I have from last year you can see here.

So, I was pleased to see Uniqlos new range this year, so I quickly snapped these two up.

These are a welcome addition to my wardrobe-limited edition and you can never have too many tee shirts!! I decided to wear the beige one with my new denim 'jeggings' from the market:

I really recommend Uniqlos tess, they wash and wear well and the designs are really unique, as well as very reasonably priced.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Rocking Stars and Stripes

The lovely Couture Carrie did a fabulous patriotic post on Stars and Stripes, Check it out for some fabulous picks of all things American!

Its half term this week, so I'm generally having a relaxing time and that calls for a casual outfit. In the spirit of her post, I thought I'd wear my tee from the boot sale this weekend-its an authentic 'Hard Rock Cafe, Los Angeles' tee which was only 50p.

I'm wearing it with jeans and my boyfriend style cardi (£3), both picked up from the charity shop and boot sale a while ago.

Unfortunately the sun has disappeared, typical British weather, LOL! Hope you are all having a great week too!!

Award and Tag

I was given this fab award from Looking Fab in your Forties-thanks so much and also this tag too!!

Three Things I can't stand

1. That we don't get sun here in the UK on a very regular basis!!

2. Anchovies and Capers-Haven't tried them and don't want to either!

3. Always falling asleep midway through a film at night once the kids are in bed!

Three Random Things

1. Whats on your bedside table? - Digital Radio, alarm clock, glasses when I'm asleep, ear plugs for when hubby snores!

2. Last thing I bought - My Hard Rock Cafe Los Angeles tee at the boot sale on Sunday for 50p.

3. Guilty Pleasure - The Wild Berry Mocha Frappuchino, with whipped cream of course-the novelty of its still not worn off!

4. If you could only shop online from one retailer, which one would it be? Ebay-or is that cheating, LOL!

Sunshine in hues of grey

The weekend has been a scorcher so far weatherwise and it was warm enough at 7.30am to go bare sleeved to the boot sale yesterday

I'm wearing a Topshop grey short sleeve fluffy angora mix cardi, that I picked up for only £3.99 at Cancer Research charity shop last month. I've also got on a grey tunic from Oasis that was from the boot sale, 50p and my new grey leggings from Primark, £6.

The boot sale and gorgeous weather had brought everyone out-it was massive and took me a good couple of browsing hours to get round!!

Bargains of the day were a vintage 80s Radley turquoise blue dress and jacket for £2, a Hard Rock Cafe Los Angeles tee for 50p and for little Robert, a WWE tee for 50p-his new phase is wrestling now, LOL!

Saturday AM Coffee

After having a dark berry mocha frappuchino in London a few weeks ago, I was drooling for another one. Hubby hadn't tried it, so the two of us went to the nearest Starbucks for our fix, which was deliciously cool and filling:

We had a lovely walk around the local market and I took the opportunity to get some leggings from Primark and also from on the market, as Primark didn't have 'denim treggings'. River Islands are £24.99, the markets version were only £7.99, so these and the Primark ones were less than £15!!

My outfit of the day was my Ralph Lauren ditsy flower skirt, Gap fushia drape tee, brown leather jacket, Peacocks gladiator style sandals and my Matthew Williamson brown Ibiza bag.

Have a great Bank Holiday weekend everyone!!

Kate Moss dress-Ossie Inspired?

This is one of Kate Moss's new 'vintage inspired' dresses, just launched yesterday on Topshops website. Kate is an avid fan of vintage and has her own extensive collection.

I wonder if this Ossie Clark for Radley dress of mine could have been behind her inspiration for this dress?

I'm happy that mine is the real deal-vintage, that is!!

Thrift inspiration, Doing it Tuxedo Style!!

Blazers and tuxedos are very much in trend this season, evidently at Balmain, shown off by the the gorgeous Gywneth Paltrow

Kate Moss is a great fan of the tuxedo and wears it dressed up and down

I was lucky to spot this gorgeous lace tuxedo by Ronit Zilka at the boot sale this weekend for only £3. It is a very fitted style and I will wear it with jeans and also a LBD for a dressier occasion

Will you be working a tux this season-formally or informally?

Thrift inspiration, Doing it Matthew Williamson Style!!

On trend for this summer is 'tropical', which the Matthew Williamson for H&M range have highlighted for their summer collection. Birds and peacocks are very popular prints and are bang on trend for this season.

Matthew Williamson for H&M blouse and kaftan, due out mid May-pictures are from the Vogue UK June supplement

Earlier in the season, I spotted this cute top in my local High Street ethnic store for only £1. Made in India, its a very tropical print and such a versatile piece too.

I can wear it with the buttons done up as a blouse or open as a short sleeve jacket. The collar and sleeves have a lovely scalloped edging, so Chloe-esque!!

Will you be in to the 'tropical' trend this summer?

Je t'aime Paris

Well, I had my day trip to Paris with my friends from work this weekend and it was totally fabulous!! First stop was the Notre Dame Cathedral, where we also went in and had a look around. Totally stunning and beautiful and there was a service going on too!
We then walked past the Louvre and its gardens, past Cleopatras Needle and the mini Arc De Triomphe and had a pitstop for an ice cream. Then it was up the Champs Elysees, stopping en route at Louis Vuitton for a spot of window shopping. I then had a late lunch of a three cheese pannini and lemon tart and then it was a leisurely walk to the big Arc De Triomphe and then on to the Eiffel Tower. We first went on a river boat cruise and then up the Tower to the top-totally awesome!! With the day finished, it was back on the Eurostar to London and a train home!

So here are some pictures of my day out-hope you enjoy them!!
