Blog Loving-Worldwide and on my doorstep!!

It was lovely to receive 2 blog awards recently, the Versatile Blogger award from the lovely Viviane at Hippiebohoreloaded and the Liebster blog award from Lakota at Faith Hope and Charity Shopping-thank you so much ladies, it is very much appreciated!!!

Rules of acceptance include revealing 7 things about myself, so here goes!!!

1. Although I am not a slave to fashion, I do like to indulge in current season catwalk trends and will thrift pieces to fulfill the trend.

2. My current two favourite programmes on British TV are Benidorm and The Only Way is Essex!!!

3. I don't have a beauty regime- I don't wear make up Monday to Friday and on weekends, I'll wear lip gloss by Clinique and blusher by Bourjois and a spritz of perfume.

4. Have been good and bad on the health front-have virtually given up drink, as I don't like how it interferes with my sleep but I have restarted smoking again-only about 4 a day, but I suppose 4 too many really ;-(

5. If you don't know already, I'm going to opening up my Etsy shop next month-I can't wait and I do hope you will all stop by for a browse and buy!!

6. I love window shopping in London-my favourites are Selfridges and Harrods, but one shop I haven't visited is Liberty's- a must do for the year I think!!

7. My favourite snack of the moment is black pudding, sliced on toast with a nice mug of tea!

I mentioned in my title I had blog loving on my doorstep-this morning whilst daydreaming and getting sucked into the mud at Dunton boot sale in Essex, I was stopped by a lady who asked 'Do you Blog?'

Well, how amazing that the lovely lady who is also from Essex actually knew me by name and also reads and enjoys my blog-she said she doesn't blog herself or leave comments but I was so pleased to meet someone from my neck of the woods who enjoys my blog!!

So rather than me passing on these awards to fellow bloggers, whose comments and views I deeply appreciated and enjoy, I'm dedicating these to the lady from this morning (I'm not revealing you on here, but when you read this, you'll know its you!!) and also the other readers who don't always leave comments or have blogs, but just love to read my blog anyway, so-

Fantasy Bag Tag and Award

Thanks to the gorgeous Wilderness Chic at Life the universe and all thats in it for my first award of the year, the Sunshine award.

Kreativ Award and Tag!!

Hi everyone!! Wow, another award and this one is from the lovely Janet Taylor of Janetteria

Its a lovely award as its a 'Kreativ Blogger' which means a lot, as I assume I've received it for my creative thrift finds, LOL!!

There is a tag too, so here are 10 random things about me:

1. I love boot sales and charity shops-I would say 90% of my wardrobe is from them and I just enjoy the thrill of getting a designer or vintage bargain!!

2. I'm not a big eater, but I'm always thinking about food, I would definitely dine out more often if my expenditure allowed!!

3. I get a lot of my inspiration from fellow bloggers, magazines such as Grazia, Elle and Vogue and internet sites such as Net-A-Porter, My-Wardrobe.com and Topshop.

4. I enjoy walking-I don't exercise at the gym, but I try to walk at least 20 minutes a day.

5. Favourite daytime programmes include-Trash to Cash, Dickinsons Real Deal, Put your Money where your Mouth is. All antique and boot sale orientated-I love to see items up at auction and would love to go to an auction house for the day!!

6. I enjoy holiday time off for one main reason-no early starts!!

7. I hate food shopping when I have to go in the supermarket to buy it, but adore doing it online-15 minutes and its all done for the week and delivered straight to the door too!

8. I wish I could use my sewing machine-pure laziness just stops me from setting it up and getting going, LOL!!

9. I generally love colours and patterns in my wardrobe, but I've enjoyed putting quite a few black pieces in for long term wear.

10. The only gadget I really value is my IPOD-I enjoy listening to music and should do it more often!!

Here are 7 facts 'All about Me!'

I love to sleep and relax, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be enough hours for me at night, LOL!

If I was rich, I think the majority of my money would be spent on dining out-I love food, but unfortunately I don't have a passion to cook it!!

My hobby is Thrifting-If you didn't know that about me, you do now!! I enjoy the boot sales and charity shops and adore a designer bargain!!

I love listening to music-world music, classical and Ibiza chill sounds are my current favourites

I love London with a passion-I've not been outside Europe (except to Africa) and London remains my most favourite city-each time I go I experience something new or different and I'm privileged to live only 30 minutes away from it!

Speaking of past places, I adored Marrakesh in Morrocco-its definitely a place which I would love to go back to again-a very gorgeous place indeed!!

Future places I would love to go to-Istanbul in Turkey, Florence in Italy and New York.

1. That we don't get sun here in the UK on a very regular basis!!

2. Anchovies and Capers-Haven't tried them and don't want to either!

3. Always falling asleep midway through a film at night once the kids are in bed!

1. Whats on your bedside table? - Digital Radio, alarm clock, glasses when I'm asleep, ear plugs for when hubby snores!

2. Last thing I bought - My Hard Rock Cafe Los Angeles tee at the boot sale on Sunday for 50p.

3. Guilty Pleasure - The Wild Berry Mocha Frappuchino, with whipped cream of course-the novelty of its still not worn off!

4. If you could only shop online from one retailer, which one would it be? Ebay-or is that cheating, LOL!

I was awarded the 'E' for excellent award by the gorgeous Cath and Lauren of Asian Cajuns a little while ago and have finally got round to posting the award-cheers, gals!!

The lovely duo are currently into the fringe trend and I commented on that post how I adore this trend and I would work it if I get a fringey item-well, I had totally forgotton about the fringey earrings hubby bought for me a few months ago!
