Outfit post: Thrifted Versace and Kimono Blue Florals for Sunday Boot Sales

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend, the weather is still really gorgeous and it's so nice to enjoy the school summer holidays with fabulous sunshine on tap.

We decided to visit a new to us countryside boot sale which is a few miles away but is mainly filled with sellers who are clearing their cupboards rather than new market trader stalls. It's a perfect size too-not too big and not too small and the bonus of this one is it's a 'lazy bones' one which gets going from around midday onwards. En route we also found another one which was literally only a few minutes away in the car from the lazy bones one and which shuts at around midday.

I decided to wear my favourite cobalt blue original 90s Versace skinny jeans with a mushroom colour cami top from Marks & Spencer (new) and a thrifted blue floral kimono from Matalan which I thrifted at last weeks lazy bones boot sale for just £1:

I love how the modern blue florals combine nicely with my nearly 25 year jeans, which are so stretchy, so comfortable and still on trend colour and style wise all these years on. I thrifted these Versace jeans a few years ago for around £5 from a neighbouring town's Cancer Research charity shop- I remember I nearly passed on them but I returned a liitle while later to buy them and they've been a real style staple in my wardrobe:

This was photo was taken on the car park field of the first boot sale we pulled up on-the view was spectacular of the reservoir lake in front of us:

As it was our first time at this one and we arrived at around midday, the sellers were already packing up. Eager to get even just one bargain, I came across a lady selling this vintage and 'as new' faux fur jacket who didn't want to take it back home and said I could have it for £1!!

We then went on to the lazy bones boot sale but I didn't get anything-except a sugared donut to eat with some fresh watermelon that we had brought with us- it really was a yummy combination!!

En route home we decided to stop off for a cheeky drink before catching the athletics and football which were both on the TV. We love going to this particular little pub and we always seem to go there when it's gloriously hot and sunny:

The blooms were beautiful and the view from our seat over the village green was so lovely too:

It always seems to be so windy lately, excuse the windswept pose!!

A relaxing end to the boot sale walks was to enjoy a mid afternoon lager shandy before going home to a lovely roast dinner!!

I'm linking this post to the lovely Patti at NotDeadYetStyle for Visible Monday. Another week involving volunteering means I'll be in and out a lot but I will try my best to visit all my lovely readers and commenters-wishing you all a really great week ahead!!

Vintage Versace Fest!!

As you may know, I've been a fan of Gianni Versace for a while. My love affair started when I purchased this 90s Gianni Versace dress above on my very first A.B.C meet with the gorgeous Wendy Brandes back in July 2008.

This was my first Versace piece and in April I was so excited to pick up at my local charity shop The Art and Craft of Gianni Versace, see my post on it here.

It has been great to see how Lady Gaga has embraced vintage Versace and last month Grazia did a post on it and showed off some absolutely stunning pieces being sold by Zone7Style. I've just been browsing their Versace pieces and totally drooling-check out their amazing collection here

Lady Gaga wearing vintage Versace in her own ecletic, quirky stylish way:

Well onto my amazing find which is a 90s Versace Film Poster jacket:

I'm wearing it just with a cami and jeans but my full intention is to wear it with my cobalt blue Versace jeans.

Then again, maybe not, as head to toe in one label may not work that well, I'll have to try and see!

I was especially pleased to see that Zone7Style have the Versace film poster skirt in cord but I certainly could not wear the whole look as a suit!!!

Its only a few months until the eagerly awaited H&M and Versace collection.

So what is you opinion on Versace-vintage, modern or the new collaberation?

Outfit Post-Bold Colours for Winter

As I've been off this week and not having to wear a uniform-hurrah, I thought I should do an overdue outfit post.

This outfit is my Versace 90s electric blue jeans, they're amazingly comfortable, very stretchy and I love the vibrancy of them. I teamed it with the United Colours of Benetton top, both items were thrifted a few weeks ago.

I'm wearing my black Dune ankle boots, which were thrifted a couple of years ago.

I'm normally in dark colours for winter, so it made a pleasant change to add some colour to my winter outfit.

Are you managing to put some colour into your winter outfits?

Vintage Versace Ad is My Latest Jeans Find!!

For some reason I do love all things Retro style and on my thrifting visits I do try and keep an open mind for any pieces I can get hold of.

On Saturday myself and Robert went for lunch, a spot of charity shopping and also to spend some of his Birthday money on X Box games. I didn't have high expectations of the trip, as where he used to look through stuff when he was younger, I think he is frankly quite bored and wanted to be in and out as quick as possible, meaning I couldn't rummage as much as I wanted!!

Well the last shop and last item paid dividends, as I came across a pair of cobalt blue (electric blue back in the day) Versace Couture stretchy jeans.

I tried them on and what a perfect fit-they are typically of the era, high waisted but so stretchy and soft and in really good nick too. They were only £4.99 from the Cancer Research shop and I snapped them up.

Doing a search on google, I came across this Versace ad-here are my jeans-the girls are modelling yellow and pink, mine are blue, but are exactly the same fit!!

I've been after a cobalt blue piece from back in the day and to get it in jeans that are a perfect fit have to be my 'wow' find of the month, I'm really pleased with them!

Whats been your most recent best vintage buy so far?
