Hotter Sandals for a Hotter Summer!!

Hotter Shoes-First for Style, Fashion and Comfort!

Hi everyone!! I just wanted to check in with you about my lovely evening with Hotter shoes recently!

As you may already be aware, Hotter are passionate about producing comfortable stylish shoes and sandals and I know from personal experience they always deliver! They are a leading premium British brand based in Lancashire and have been going for over 50 years and season after season they are so on point with their continued range of styles which are popular with all ages and particularly fashion and style bloggers who know what they want from a leading fashion brand!

I love wearing their sandals and shoes and funnily enough I was introduced to Hotter by my mum years ago! She bought me my first pair which I still have and wouldn't be without! Their summer sandals are always so comfortable and if your check out the current Hotter range and are very tempted by more than one pair, they are currently doing a special offer with code MRE40 which gives you £25 off on two pairs of shoes or £40 off for three pairs-happy days!! This offer does end on 7 June, so check out their Holiday Shop for their latest style offerings!!

So back to my evening- I was invited to a cheese and wine evening at Neal's Yard in London and what a decadent evening it was too! We had a speaker who had personally paired up the cheeses to all the wines and told us about the history of the farms of where they were made-delicious!!!

What a huge choice of cheeses!!!

Starting at 12 o'clock, we tasted each cheese with each chosen wine, so sophisticated\!!

The new season range of Hotter shoes and handbags are a real colourful delight- these shades are just perfect for Autumn

Hotter bags are so stylish and perfect for Summer with your latest vintage or trending dress of choice!

Due to the torrential rain I was unable to wear my new Hotter sandals on the night but I have worn them since- I particularly love this style as they have a wedge heel and the metallic colour means they will be perfect for any outfit or occasion!!

A big thanks goes to the lovely Michelle at Wingfield PR and the wonderful Hotter gals Jenni and Mel!! It was a fabulous evening and I was very impressed with Hotter's new season offerings-check out the full range and I know you'll be tempted if not by their fabulous sandals for Summer then some shoes for the Autumnal season!!

Hotter Shoes-Being Spoilt in Comfort & Style for Autumn/Winter 2014

Hi everyone! As you all know from my previous post back in May I am a real fan of Hotter shoes. My mum has been wearing them for years before I even was converted and after getting a pair of leather desert ankle boots as a Christmas present a couple of years ago, I knew that pair of Hotter footwear wouldn't be the last in my wardrobe.

Hotter are a UK brand with over 50 years of history behind them- a world class factory in Lancashire makes their shoes and boots with over 1.6 million pairs being made every year, making them the biggest shoe manufacturer in the UK. Comfort and style are priority and it's not hard to see why they are continuing to expand in the UK and overseas when they consistently produce trend led, comfortable and durable footwear every new season.

Of course when I was invited to the Autumn/Winter presentation at Kettners in London how could I refuse?  Their Spring/Summer event was absolutely wonderful and I've virtually lived in my pewter Singapore wedges this summer, so I was looking forward to seeing what their new collection was going to be like:

There are some amazing styles to be had, gorgeous ankle boots with faux fur, full length boots in an array of delicious colours and styles

They also feature a lot of colour this season, with some amazingly pretty boots and shoes in rich Autumnal shades if you want to add that extra dimension to your new season outfit

We were split in two teams to do a treasure hunt around Soho, which not only was a lot of fun but proved our new footwear was amazingly comfortable and certainly up to the task in hand! Not only did we win but we all received a bottle of Champagne each too-yay!!

The shoes for this new season are not only pretty but have the classic Hotter comfort concept- shoes that have pillow soft underfoot cushioning, flexible soles, are lightweight and have flexi grooved heels, all as standard:

My choice? It had to be the Shawbury in black, a classic Chelsea boot with a brogue twist detail and just perfect for autumn and winter and for day or evening. It also comes in grey and tan, but I chose black as I knew I would want to be wearing them on a very regular basis:

Their new collection really has so many different styles that having to choose the right pair purely based on style really is very hard indeed!! If you fancy indulging in a pair of boots or shoes this season, I have some £10 discount vouchers that I will happily forward on-send me an email with your details and I'll pop one in the post for you!!

Dinner was absolutely fabulous- I thoroughly enjoyed my starter of gravadlax, the confit of duck main course and the chocolate & pear tart with sorbet for desert all were just perfection. The service was faultless as our drinks were constantly topped up and nothing was too much trouble.

A very big thank you to Melanie at Hotter and Michelle and Debbie of Wingfield PR- it was such a privilege and pleasure to be part of the Hotter event and my new Shawburys will be out and about on my feet for weeks and months to come!!

Outfit of the Day and Today's Buys

Hi everyone!! I hope you are all having a really good start to the week, I've had a great weekend as I met up with my good blogger friend Michelle over at MyFashionable40s. We had such an amazing time despite the weather being torrential rain during the start and middle of the day and from then onward's brilliant sunshine! The day consisted of shopping, eating and drinking- no photos which seems to be our usual ploy as we are normally so busy enjoying ourselves. We both managed to bag some bargains which I'll share in later outfit posts!

Today saw a visit to the hospital to get my younger son's wrist recast as he broke it last week in his sports day. We then went for a buffet lunch in town and a spot of shopping afterwards in Primark. Myself and Michelle had checked out her hometowns new Primark on Saturday but I didn't find anything I liked.
My youngest son managed to pick a few lovely pieces out for our forthcoming holiday and I picked up a sporty style tee in the sale for £1 and a summer parka for £9, which is thin and is in a silky material as opposed to traditional starchy cagoule style material:

My outfit today is a thrifted Gap black blouse which I got a couple of months ago in a neighbouring towns Sense charity shop for £2.99, I'm wearing it with my Gap boyfriend jeans from a couple of years ago from the Gap outlet store at Ashford and my silver Hotter sandals:

I'm trying to grow my fringe out-I'm really not sure if I want to or not-watch the next post to see if it's been chopped back in!!

Due to also running the Race for Life last week things have been so hectic so I've still not been able to get back to regular posting. I do still stop by to read your blogs even if I'm not leaving comments, so I do thank you for your continued reading and commenting too.

I do hope you have a good week ahead and here's to more sunshine ahead!!

Hotter Shoes- Being Spoilt in Style and Comfort

Hi everyone! As you may be aware, the ethos of my blog is generally all thrift related as I shop mainly at charity shops and boot sales for clothes and accessories. Of course I do indulge in retail therapy at high street stores but with a couple of exceptions I have held no particular allegiances to any brands-well, not until I actually stopped and thought about it.

In Autumn 2012 I was introduced properly to Hotter shoes by my mum who for years now has religiously bought her summer and winter shoes from there with no exceptions. It was back then I was looking for a stylish, comfortable and durable work shoe which would see me through the immediate three seasons of Autumn, Winter and Spring. As an early Christmas present from her I chose a pair of black leather desert style ankle boots and then promptly forgot about it until she let me know they had arrived.

Well fast forward another three seasons of Autumn, Winter and to Spring 2014, those boots are gloves for my feet and unbelievably have not worn down (which I've since learnt is a trademark of Hotter's durable soles). They are still as new and I can wear them all day without a murmur of them being uncomfortable or sore for my feet.

So when I was invited to attend Hotter's press evening dinner and presentation at Toms Kitchen, Somerset House I literally jumped at the opportunity- I can honestly say that without realising it, I've sworn allegiance to a company that really does deserve the recognition of being a quality, comfortable and stylish brand.

The evening started off with complimentary champagne and I was pleased as punch to finally meet my gorgeous blogger friend Sharron of Style At Every Age who has been blogging right around the same time as me-six years and who I'd not had the lovely opportunity of meeting before.

We were shown through to the restaurant where the presentation was being held and where we were dining. The lovely Alex Longmore who is not only Hotter's style ambassador, but a stylist in her own right within the celebrity world gave a super presentation of the brand's history, concept and an intensive styling brief of how Hotter shoes and sandals can be worn and as such are key ingredients of being stylish without compromising on comfort or durablity. Features such as nude tones, florals, metallics and pastels are all part of Hotters amazing collection of summer shoes and sandals in canvas, leather or suede and as most of their footwear are made in the UK in their factory in Lancashire you really are buying into a fabulous British brand which I truly believe beats it's competitors hands down.

I was kindly given the opportunity to review a pair of Hotter shoes and I chose the pewter Singapore wedges, in a wide fitting size 7.5. I've tried them on and of course with the torrential rain we've had I've not had the chance to wear them properly but they fit like a glove and I was desperate to indulge in some metallics for the coming Summer season:

They feature a gladiator style upper, a mid wedge heel and adjustable strap:

They are a fantastic style to go with boho style dressing, denim or monochromes- I am really chuffed with my choice and judging by my black shoes that I have already I know these will be a keeper for many summers to come.

I met some wonderful ladies and it was great to catch up with my lovely friend Mrs TNMA and to meet hosts Caroline of Wingfield PR and Lisa, Marketing Executive of Hotter Shoes.

Although I met new acquaintances, it was like being with old and dear friends as my dining companions were extremely attentive, chatty and entertaining-I had such a good laugh and indulged in some wonderful conversations it was a shame the evening had to end!

A massive thank you to Wingfield PR and Hotter Shoes for a truly amazing evening, my wonderful sandals and  more importantly, a realisation that brand allegiance with Hotter shoes really has hooked me- not only do they have a wonderful website to shop from, they have 63 hotter stores nationwide and are available in over 200 independent retailers. With a top style ambassador on board they really are on point with style and comfort in equal measure and honestly need to be worn to appreciate how excellent they are.

If they're good enough for my mum then they've more than earned my seal of approval!! Whether you're looking for loafers, heels, sandals, boots or trainers I wholly recommend you check out Hotter first- you won't be disappointed!!

Wishing you all a fabulous bank holiday weekend and I hope to catch up with you all very soon too!
