Winter with a touch of pink

Last weekend was dry and rather brisk and chilly, but I wanted to steer clear of black. I decided to wear my boy style Zara sweater, with its pops of pink and my Sass & Bide skinny jeans.

I'm also wearing my plum suede ankle booties to go with the plum in my jumper.

Are you beginning to put touches of Spring into your outfit choices?

Thrift Inspiration,

Looking ahead to this Summer, vibrant prints and florals are definitely in trend. D&G show how florals are working, form fitted, with ruffles and with vibrancy. This article in the Daily Mail also shows us how to wear vibrant prints, one of the tips being to wear this look fitted.

Topshop also have some lovely printed florals available this season too.

Playsuit, £50

Tea dress, £45

I fell in love with this gorgeous vintage 80s shift dress by Radley this weekend-only £4.99 from the Cancer Research charity shop. It ticks off all this seasons trends-vibrant bold florals, very form fitted and tiered ruffles to the hem!!

This will definitely be a summer favourite for me, which I'll wear with my black leather biker jacket to toughen it up. What is on your radar from this summers trends?

Doing the double-denim

I really love denim and not for the first time, double denim is back in trend. Vogue are featuring double denim trends by Chloe, D&G and House of Holland.

Double denim by Chloe

I wanted to try the trend, but not in a totally full on way. I've worn my vintage Levi's shirt, layered over a black Gap sweater with denim leggings and OTK boots.

I think this trend can work if its not too matched up.

Will you be doing double denim this Summer?

So Warm, So Shearling

Shearling jackets are a winter season trend that thanks to their warmth and cosyness are a cold weather favourite.

This jacket by Dacute is available at Net-A-Porter for £433-50% off , check it out here!!

I purchased my shearling jacket at the Salvation Army charity shop about three winters ago for only £7. Its so warm and cosy and with shearling back in trend, I've been wearing it a lot lately!!

Some Zandra Rhodes for Spring

Scarves are very much in need and in style at the moment and as we are very slowly approaching Spring, the Guardian have this article about scarves for the new season.

Last month I found this gorgeous silk Zandra Rhodes scarf. I'm not sure if its vintage, it is made in Italy and the colour and print are so recognisably Zandra.

I also had this scarf for a couple of years, it is also silk and a pale pink leopardprint. Both styles will be perfect for Spring.

Will you be looking for scarves for the Spring season, if so, what styles?

14.1.10

Thrift Inspiration,

Leopardprint has been truly in style this season and its a trend that I love. I've a few brown leopardprint pieces, but was eager to get a cardigan or sweater in leopardprint but hadn't found the right item. I also wanted it to be in a different colourway, preferably monochrome. I like these designer offerings, which are very inspirational:

Burberry Runway, S/S 2010

So I was really pleased to find this wool bodycon sweater in my local Salvation Army charity shop just before Christmas for only £2.99, its a real year round piece that I'll wear with a blazer in Spring too!!

What trend will you be wearing for this Spring and Summer?

In the Pink for Spring!!

Many designers are 'in the pink' this Spring and Summer-according to those in the know, 'Sorbet' shades are the new pastels!!

Net-A-Porter and Browns Fashion are both already offering some gorgeous pink offerings, here a pick of my favourites:

Sonia Rykiel, £172

Acne peg jeans, £125

Vivienne Westwood, £157

Azzedine Alaia, £560

Thankfully, I'm already in the pink. My Burberry blazer that I bought at Mrs Stings Designer sale a couple of years ago with the wonderful WendyB will ensure that I'm in trend this season and I'll be able to wear it with jeans, skirts or dresses for lots of versatile looks.

Will you be in 'Sorbet' shades this Spring or Summer?

Meet Minquilla!!!

Last month I found this faux fur vintage jacket in the Saint Francis Hospice charity shop for only£5. The label is by 'Lister' and the coat is called 'Minquilla'-a faux fur mink, I presume, LOL!! Anyhow, its cosy enough for me and I'll be wearing it a lot this winter!!

I'm wearing my 'Patty Ann' Levi's jeans and my newly worn high heel boots that I got for £5 a few months ago, thrifted!!

I've also been wearing this grey snood a lot lately, its from Primark and I've had it a few months now and find it to be a great winter basic.

What are you wearing mostly this winter?
