Thrift Inspiration - Vintage Preloved Jewellery from eBay

Thrifted Preloved Jewellery

Hi everyone! I really love costume jewellery and generally I enjoy sourcing pieces from boot sales and charity shops. Obviously I haven't been able to do this recently so I decided to check out what eBay have had to offer.

There are some great vintage costume jewellery brands around from the 80s and 90s and eBay is the ideal place to source preloved or secondhand pieces for really good prices, either by auction or through buy it now.

I've wanted a rope chain necklace for a very long time and a recent search brought up this great find- real good vintage finds stand the test of time and this necklace is by a brand called Trifari, who do some lovely items and are such good quality:

Gold Vintage Triple Rope Necklace

It has a good weight to it and it has not discoloured in any way- if you are going to invest in vintage costume jewellery then choose a reputable, established brand and your item will last a long time.

I also sourced this cute diamante necklace which is also a Trifari find and it was less than £10 so a real bargain which I really enjoy wearing:

This is how the Trifari triple rope necklace looks like- I think it will also work really well with sweaters and jumpers in Autumn and Winter.

Day and Evening Looks with Femme Luxe

Summer Style in wine, black and white

Hello there! It's great to be back after such a long absence- My love of style and fashion has brought me back to blogging and when the Girls at Femme Luxe contacted me to feature some of their pieces, I decided to choose some really great staples that will see me through from day to evening for all and any occasions!

For summer, I really like dresses and also denim and a simple t-shirt or cotton blouse- I think a minimal outfit is a great stylish look at this time of year and a dress or denim and t-shirt are the perfect seasonal uniforms for your Summer wardrobe.

So with this in mind I've opted for my favourite summer daytime look!

This first outfit choice is a slogan print t-shirt and denim combination, I really think this a great sunny casual style to piece together and the top is essentially oversized too, so it can be styled in lots of different ways!

Next I decided to style this t-shirt with this cute wine colour bodycon dress for a smart casual daytime look, ideal for lunching with the girls or sightseeing in style and comfort:

Then in the evening, a change of sandals, take off the top and it instantly transforms to a stylish evening dress which I can pair with a jacket on cooler evenings!

I really love this black ribbed jumper dress which is a real year round piece- It's ideal for to wear smart casual during the day......

We all need a black slinky dress in the wardrobe too and this one is perfect for any season and any smart occasion and if I do want to go from day to evening, then I would add a t shirt or denim jacket to it and dress it down a bit!

What colours are you craving this Summer? For me, black, red or white are perfect colours to mix and match and really compliment each other to make a chic and stylish look whatever the season!

Thrift My Style.....Currently Trending- Denim Skirts

Florals and Denim- Always In Style

So Summer is hitting and for me its all about florals and denim- either together or separate, these are two trends for this season that never seem to date or go out of style.

I love denim skirts for summer and always try and make sure I| have denim skirts not just for work-yay- I'm fortunate I can wear denim as part of my work uniform- but of course for leisure and social occasions too! I tend to go for a shorter hem line and right now there is plenty at high street level for all tastes!

Here are my favourite looks, all sourced from Pinterest:

A logo tee and denim skirt is just effortlessly stylish

My favourite combo-floral on denim

This seasons trend-unfinished hem

Am just lusting over this gorgeous skirt currently on sale at Zara for £49.99

I picked up this skirt in Zara a couple of months ago- a very reasonable £25 and still instore:

So when I went shopping this weekend and stopped off at a larger Sainsburys as a pit stop for my mate, we couldn't help but have a browse through the TU clothing range.

I can never pass through TU without wanting something and in the larger branch I was in they had an amazingly large section of fashion and accessories at half price or less.

So two for less than the price of one!! I found this cute scalloped edged hem skirt and the studded unfinished hem skirt, what a bargain indeed and perfect for the festival and holiday season that I've got coming up!!

The one thing about denim is you can style it up or down- a pretty chiffon blouse or a faded band tee work so well with a denim skirt or shorts and paired with bejewelled or metallic sandals will take you into a casual stylish evening look too!

What summer trend are you all over this season?

Hotter Sandals for a Hotter Summer!!

Hotter Shoes-First for Style, Fashion and Comfort!

Hi everyone!! I just wanted to check in with you about my lovely evening with Hotter shoes recently!

They are a leading premium British brand based in Lancashire and have been going for over 50 years and season after season they are so on point with their continued range of styles which are popular with all ages and particularly fashion and style bloggers who know what they want from a leading fashion brand!

I love wearing their sandals and shoes and funnily enough I was introduced to Hotter by my mum years ago! She bought me my first pair which I still have and wouldn't be without! Their summer sandals are always so comfortable and if your check out the current Hotter range and are very tempted by more than one pair, they are currently doing a special offer with code MRE40 which gives you £25 off on two pairs of shoes or £40 off for three pairs-happy days!! This offer does end on 7 June, so check out their Holiday Shop for their latest style offerings!!

So back to my evening- I was invited to a cheese and wine evening at Neal's Yard in London and what a decadent evening it was too! We had a speaker who had personally paired up the cheeses to all the wines and told us about the history of the farms of where they were made-delicious!!!

What a huge choice of cheeses!!!

Starting at 12 o'clock, we tasted each cheese with each chosen wine, so sophisticated\!!

The new season range of Hotter shoes and handbags are a real colourful delight- these shades are just perfect for Autumn

Hotter bags are so stylish and perfect for Summer with your latest vintage or trending dress of choice!

Due to the torrential rain I was unable to wear my new Hotter sandals on the night but I have worn them since- I particularly love this style as they have a wedge heel and the metallic colour means they will be perfect for any outfit or occasion!!

A big thanks goes to the lovely Michelle at Wingfield PR and the wonderful Hotter gals Jenni and Mel!! It was a fabulous evening and I was very impressed with Hotter's new season offerings-check out the full range and I know you'll be tempted if not by their fabulous sandals for Summer then some shoes for the Autumnal season!!

Thrift Inspiration.....Embroidery Patches for Autumn/Winter 2016

Hi everyone! So London Fashion Week has been and there are many trends all under the radar for this coming season- tweeds, velvet, ruffles, long sleeves, metallics-to name a few!!

I'm particularly loving this Autumn the return of embroidered badges-from designer to high street, this is a trend that seems to come and go over fashion seasons and never truly goes out of style,

The first image is from Christopher Kane's collection of 2014 and perfectly relevant inspiration for anything embroidered at the moment:

These jeans are currently online at New Look and add a great nod to the lok without going overboard-a perfect pair of jeans for day or night:

Seen at Fashion Week, this style blogger certainly loves her badges and with one statement item in your outfit, it's a fabulous look for any season and is an ideal accompaniment for a smart blazer or biker jacket and bright bag:

This coat is perfectly on trend for winter- cute badges and although this is masculine tailoring with a twist, this is certainly a look for women or men alike:

This is a really feminine quirky look- who wouldn't want to wear this cute cardigan-the warm yellow and badges make it a really unique piece which could be worn with anything!!

What a gorgeous coat! Lilac hues, awesome badges and immediately dresses up a simple hoody and jeans combo:

For those of you looking for a new jacket this Autumn, there is a plethora of jackets from designer to high street banging out this trend- another favourite is this jacket currently available online at New Look which will see you effortlessly into Springtime next year and will be a really amazing cost per wear style essential:

(All pictures above: Pinterest)

So now to what I have indulged in for the new season!! Last month I had a lovely meet up with a gorgeous blogger friend and prior to meeting I had to have a sneak peek in my not local Primark. So glad I did as I found this lone jacket in my size on the rail for a bargainous £20!!

A couple of years ago I passed up on a DKNY denim jacket with similarly quirky patches in a charity shop and suffered buyers remorse on missing out- so when I saw this silky bomber with similar patches and the perfect shade of khaki I snapped it up and can't wait to start wearing later this season!!

Another item I scored on in the charity shop was a pair of black skinny jeans by Banned Apparel which were only £2.75- they've this patch on each back pocket and are a perfect evening trouser jeans which I had to purchase:

What trend is on your radar for this coming Autumn/Winter season? I think I may look out for something velvet too- jewel brights or black are a possibility!!
