Gold Vogue-December 2000

Another boot sale bargain-as you know by now, one of my favourite mags is Vogue, so I was especially pleased to find this one at Chigwell boot sale a couple of years ago for the princely sum of 25p! Its a cracking read, as it has all things Golden, millenium news and a write up by Judith Watts of all things vintage-definitely a recommended read, if you can get a copy (Ebay maybe?)

Ooh, la la!! Another Favourite Jacket!

Here is another fave of mine-bought last year from my local Sue Ryder charity shop for only £5! This is late 1980s or 1990s Jean Paul Gaultier jeans jacket (complete with la shoulder pads!-typical of the era!) I really love this jacket, as I can dress it up or down, depending on my mood!

Absolutely Favourite Jacket!

Imagine my delight when I stumbled upon this little lovely last month! This is a genuine leather (real snakeskin? comments please!) from Joseph (Sloane Street, Knightsbridge)-which I purchased from the PDSA charity shop for only a £5!! Yes, what a bargain!! It so reminds me of WENDY BRANDES (http://wbjewelry.blogspot.com/search/label/Ossie%20Clark)rocking blog about her find-only Ossie Clark's snakeskin jacket, which you can see her in on her blog of October 14 2007-lucky, lucky gal, Wendy! You so rock in this jacket!

Anyhow, this is my homage to the snakeskin jacket, which I WILL wear with my lovely Ossie Clark for Radley halter dress-again Wendy is pictured in the same dress (blog of November 3 2007) at some stage of my life! Hopefully soon!

Joseph genuine leather-snakeskin(?) jacket,
which is so fitted and so light and soft!!

Yves Saint Laurent on Decades Inc

My early 1980s Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche
silk plaid print blouse -complete with statutory 1980s padded shoulders!
I was particularly pleased to see, when browsing one of my favourite blogs yesterday, that Decades Inc currently have for sale an Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche silk blouse
from the early 1980s.
I love perusing Decades Inc, as they have some really lovely couture and wearable clothes. They are way out of my price range, which is why I am so into boot sales and charity shops for my finds. This particular blouse was purchased last month from the NCH (National Childrens Home) charity shop for £3.49- certainly a lot less than what you would pay from somewhere such as Decades. But I do swoon over their wares, as it gives much inspiration as to what to look out for.

My Family

As I recently uploaded the first picture of me, I thought I would further elaborate and add
'mon famille'

My mum, my youngest son Robert and me, taken in August 2007

My lovely husband Chris and my oldest son Christopher, getting all dirtied up on a trip to the forest, climbing trees and collecting golf balls!

Chris's mum enjoying her cuppa!

I cut a fringe (bangs!) into my hair shortly after this photo was taken-

I prefer me with, rather than without!
