Designer Inspiration- Doing it Herve Leger Style!!

I've always loved body con styles and they were a great favourite of mine in the 80s. I decided I would like a bodycon piece so I had to have a drool over Herve Legers dresses and gain some inspiration from these styles:

One of my recent buys was this bodycon dress from Jane Norman, which was half price, down from £40 to £20.

What I like about it is I can wear a boyfriend style blazer or black leather jacket over it during the day and then take it off later, when feeling a touch more daring. It can be worn all year round, as I'll wear it in winter, over a black polo neck jumper and black opaque tights and boots.

Bags and Blazers

My love affair with jackets and blazers continues and in addition to the boyfriend style, long line and cropped blazers I already have, I wanted to add some summer jackets to my wardrobe.
So my recent trip to the Salvation Army brought dividends as I scooped this cropped white blazer and light grey linen blazer, for a total of £8.48.

I also bought this leather bag at the PDSA for £2, which is by John Richmond at the Designers at Debenhams range. Wishing you all a fabulous weekend!!

Chanelling 80s Style-Pastels and bleached denim

Another 80s favourite trend of mine was body con, faded denim, pastels and florals.

I found this modern top by Per Una (Marks & Spencer) and I love how it combines my favourite looks into one piece. Of course I had to pair it with my faded distressed boyfriend style jeans by Lee Cooper and my new snakeskin gladiator style sandals.

Its a casual daytime style and the top can be worn all year round, as can the jeans!!

Denim Saga

I do love a bargain, especially when its a good quality one and I know I'm saving money too. My trip to the boot sale on Sunday only yielded one item, which was this Levis for Girls denim jacket for only £1.

Well, you can see how much I've saved than if I'd gone to the Levis store to purchase one!!

I have 2 Levis denim jackets now and my faded one from River Island. I gave some denim to the charity shop, which included another denim jacket I had and some denim skirts that didn't fit properly. I'd rather look out for some different ones as I'd gone off these items.

The beauty of thrifting means that items can be 'easy come, easy go' without feeling guilty. I had originally spent around £10 for 1 denim jacket and 3 denim skirts that I've now given to the charity shop and they now benefit from my fickleness!!
