Thrift Inspiration,

Over at Net-A-Porter, the range 'T' by Alexander Wang features this long black maxi jersey dress for £108. Its quite elegant, in a comfy and relaxed way too:

I found my equivalent-its a 90s dress by Miss Selfridge which I purchased at my local Sue Ryder charity shop for £5.95 last week.

I've paired it with a grey marl camisole underneath for a sporty relaxed feel-oh and because its not that warm at the moment either, LOL!!

Wishing you all a very Happy Easter, I will be having Easter holidays with the children for a couple of weeks and will be having an online break too, so I'll certainly be back with you all later on this month!

Double denim-biker style!

Double denim is quite a controversial trend-you either love it or not. I'm willing to try it once, or more if it works!

I purchased this Topshop Moto biker denim jacket from Cancer Research charity shop a couple of weeks ago for £3.99 and I'm wearing it with my grey Comme Des Garcons tee, which was £1 from the boot sale a few years ago.

I'm also wearing my denim leggings from the local market last year, a few months before denim leggings, jeggings and treggings really became on trend!!

How about trying double denim this season?

I've had a lot of lovely comments regarding my thrift finds so I thought I would make a slideshow of my favourite designer thrift finds that are still in my wardrobe and were sourced from the boot sales and charity shops.

I hope it gives you all some inspiration to hunt down your own bargains and it proves that they are out there if you're prepared to rummage for them!!

Sunday Lunch in London

At the weekend, hubby and I took ourselves to London, where we had lunch, a lovely stroll along the South Bank and Embankment and bumped into some celebs who were doing their bit for Sports Relief.

Weatherwise, it was a gorgeous, sunny day so I wore my Mexx khaki jacket, thrifted from the PDSA charity shop in Autumn for £3.99, my thrifted George Rech Breton jumper, my new denim Chanel style across the body bag by Marks & Spencer and my new grey jeggings from Marks & Spencer:

We had a lovely day, people watching and enjoying the sunshine, London is such a fabulous place to visit

Marc Jacobs thrift find!!

On a visit into town earlier this week I had a couple of errands to do which took quicker than I had anticipated, so with time on my hands, I obviously had a browse in my local charity shops. Well, in the last shop on the way out, I spotted this mass of print on the rail, pulled it out and spied it was a Marc Jacobs skirt in my size!!

It had to be snapped up for a bargainous £8.99-from the Heart Foundation charity shop. I'm not sure what year its from, but it certainly suits the vibrant print and ethnic trend for this summer, so I'll be wearing it often!!

My best bargain of the year to date!!
