House of Fraser, £47
House of Fraser, £59

Monsoon, £55

I love all of these, as they rock different trends-you have all white strapless, floral strapless, tiered (ra-ra) style and the shift is so Marni!!

Chinos-Love em or hate em?

Chinos-They are the sort of trousers you either love or hate. Personally I've always rather worn jeans or cut offs or a dress in summer as an alternative.
They have made a comeback this summer and if you get the right cut they can work as an essential for a summer wardrobe :-)

1. YSL Chinos, £470

2. Topshop Chinos, £32

3.Marks & Spencer Chinos, £19.50

From previous pictures I've seen, the trend is also to wear them with high heels-wear what you like really, but wear them with attitude, to avoid that frumpy look!!

R & R Weekend.........trying on session

I'm a blog widow!! Chris and the boys have gone to buy some materials to build a ramp for the boys BMX bikes, so today and tomorrow this is what they will be up to! I'm not sad, it will be a Rest and Relaxation weekend for me...........I have some new magazines to get through and lots of time to catch up on reading everyone else's blogs!!!
Before they disappeared, I asked my photographer to take some piccys. I wanted to show you all my new Zandra Rhodes for Topshop chiffon kaftan. Danz did a previous post on tops with cutaway shoulders and this one features these details. I've paired the top with my white Ralph Lauren jeans and Next ivory pink peep toes.

This 2nd picture is of my new ASOS trousers that I told you about yesterday and I 've paired it with my vintage Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche silk top.
Look forward to catching up on all your blogs and hope you all have a brilliant weekend, whatever you get up to!!!

Party outfit decision plus wardrobe basics

Well this weeks shopping trip was really only for two or three items-navy work trousers, black smart trousers and white evening trousers to go with my Zandra Rhodes Kaftan.

Well, several trying on sessions revealed that I really don't like light coloured floaty/evening/dressy trousers on me-I just didn't like them on and bearing in mind I most probably wouldn't wear them regularly, I've decided to wear my maxi dress for the party and glam it up with accessories!!

I found on my shopping trip some ASOS high waist corset smart black wide legged trousers, £4.50 British Heart Foundation; New Look black wide legged smart trousers £2.99; A vintage navy wool crepe wiggle pencil skirt £2.00; Gap skinny black cordoroy jeans £2.99-All from Help The Aged; Florence & Fred navy work trousers £2.99 and Miss Sixty Truman Indigo straight legged high waist jeans £3.99 both from Salvation Army. I don't own any black trousers, apart from one work pair that are falling apart, so I've a couple of pairs for smartwear now!!

I'm really pleased as all the trousers and jeans are in an 'as new', excellent condition, as is the vintage skirt-which I love as it fits like a glove and is high waisted too!!

Miss Sixty Truman Jeans-mine were £3.99, currently on sale online at
Red Carpet Couture for $99.99!!
