Thrift find of the week!

Currently on sale at Ebay.com, are these fabulous Gucci beige high top sneakers in suede, from Tom Fords last collection at Gucci, which retailed at $980 and are available to buy it now for $525.

So, you can imagine my delight, when I found a pair of these in my local Salvation Army charity shop yesterday for £4.99!!! Wow, that is a fab bargain, plus they fit like a glove-the suede is deliciously soft and my pair are in tip top condition! The thrift find of the week, most definitely!

Mothers Day weekend

Hi everyone!! To all my UK readers, wishing you a Happy Mothers Day, hope you are all being pampered and being well looked after for today at least, LOL!! Yesterday, me, hubby and the boys caught up with hubbys sister and her grandson (my nephew) was there. He is 2 and completely adorable!

Can you tell what vocation he might follow-you're never too young to learn! He enjoyed tonging and brushing Roberts hair-and no, the tongs were not plugged in!!

Today we went to Dunton boot sale, which is in Essex. It was soo packed and absolutely huge!! I came away with an across the body vintage Fendi bag for £3, I'll do a photo of it soon!

I then went into town when we got back and as it was Mothers Day, treated myself to this cute bag by Red Herring at Debenhams, another across the body bag too-I've collected a few now for summer!!

On a more sadder note, my prayers and condolences go to the family and friends of Jade Goody, who died earlier this morning. I've always liked her and found her to be a great inspiration and all round lovely young lady. She certainly kick started me to get my routine cervical smear test done a couple of weeks ago-I'd had the letter since September, but not done anything about it. May she rest in peace, she left two gorgeous young sons who will never forget her.

Animal Colour Prints

According to the Guardian, coloured animal prints are 'bang on trend'. They feature from Designers through to the High Street

ASOS, £10

Christopher Kane at Net-A-Porter, £695

Warehouse, £40

I've tapped into this trend by investing in some pashmina/scarfs, which were only £2 each at my local ethnic High Street shop.

They are the perfect companion to a denim or leather jacket, plus a good enough reason to put away the winter scarves too!

Blazer Glory

The weather lately has been delightfully gorgeous, which means I can shed the winter coats and jackets-yaay!! My current fave is my grey boyfriend style blazer, which I did a post on last week, but it was last years photo-these photos are from this last weekend.

I've paired it with my black bodycon dress, black opaque tights and my Alberta Ferretti nude vintage sandals, which I got from Oxfam a couple of years ago for £1.60.

I'm so pleased blazers are back in, it was great to see the gorgeous one that the lovely Lauren at Asian Cajuns thrifted for under 10 bucks-wow!! Check out her post, she really scored a fabulous jacket, I'd love to get one like this!

High Street Bargain of the Week!

As a rule, I generally don't 'do' high street stores, mainly because I will thrift for what I want in the charity shops or the boot sales. When I do want something in particular, then it is obviously easier to hit the shops. I wanted some neon skinny belts, so I went to the first place that seems to be bang on trend for most things-Primark.

Neon pink and lime skinny belts, £1 each, Primark
I don't generally shop in Primark on a regular basis, but do like to check it out once in a while, as they have trendy fashionable items at such cheap prices. These belts will break up an all black outfit, go with denim and also white in summer too!
Whats been your best bargain for spring or summer so far?
