Vintage Gucci and Classics that don't date

I've been looking for a tan bag all year really-once you have a quality one, it can be a stylish classic that will last for years.

Gucci Sukey Medium, £580

Gucci Joy Mini Boston, £335

My other bag find at the boot sale on Sunday was this tan vintage Gucci bag. There is considerable wear on the handles, but the exterior is still in good condition and the interior is in excellent condition.

I like 'lived in' bags, I feel I can properly use them and if they have a few knocks, it doesn't matter. So now I have a tan bag at last!

What item have you been after for a while that you are still coveting?

I am surprised at how low the Gucci prices are compared to the other big designers! But even better to snag one at such a bargain, if you take it to your local cobblers they should be able to treat the leather for you xx

Lovely, and I do agree with you that it is nicer to have a bag that has seen a bit of life - I would be scared to take a brand new bag out with me in fear of ruining it!

What a lovely bag (and great price)!

I'm pretty "set" right now. Not needing or wanting too much. Just enjoying what I have and coming up with new ways to wear them....

Dear Sharon, you can always be relied on to track down a brilliant bargain. I like it that you have something you're looking out for. I love bags that shape that you can throw everything in and still see it. Otherwise I spend half my life endlessly rummaging through compartments! xx

Wow! Your finds always make me want to move to England immediately! It's so rare to find anything like that in the states. I also like the worn-in, broken-in look of purses.

What a great buy! I still kick myself that I didn't buy this gucci bag in the oxfam shop last year. Even if it had been a tenner... xo

Fabulous find again! A Gucci bag will never go out of style, especially in that color! I agree with the worn-in state, though I usually tend to do that to bags myself :)

You are at it again, what a great find. I can't believe the prices you find this stuff at. Everything is so inflated here in the States as far as thrift store are concerned. I have my eye on a couple of pairs of shoes, but they will have to wait. Got bills to pay!
