I do love how bloggers can constantly inspire and learn from each other. The lovely Kate over at Make Do Style is doing a Make Do Life Laundry week and her first post, touches on the adage of 'Making Do' with what you have, appreciating it and not necessarily coveting the next 'must have' item to fill that emotional void.
I had this Minquilla faux fur in my pile for the charity shop a couple of weeks ago, but have since decided-why? Well, I had initially thought of replacing it with another fur, maybe a different texture, style and colour, but why?
I've decided to keep it, its back in the wardrobe and I will reassess my wardrobe to see other outfits I can wear with it. With it being so close to Christmas, my available money does truly need to be channelled in other directions, such as keeping up with the bills and saving for Christmas, especially with two sons who have different items appearing on their Christmas list every day, lol!!
With this in mind, I'm starting my Christmas break very early where blogging is concerned-I most probably won't be posting much now this side of Christmas, but I will try my very best to visit you as much as I can!!

It's nice! Good choice to keep it.
You look absolutely stunning in that coat. You must keep it, after all we're supposed to have 6 inches of snow by wednesday.
Have a brilliant blogging break and a fab Xmas. I'll miss you. xxx
Great item to keep such fun! And looks warm and toasty xx
Any chance you'll be in town soon?

32 sleeps to Christmas Arrggggggggggggh have a good break and shall I dare be the first to say Happy Christmas (even though its still November)
I'm glad you kept it, it is really glam. I'm trying to be good at the moment, but christmas fever must have struck because I keep wanting to buy things, after being quite sensible all year x
Oh it is definately a keeper!!!
Cute jacket!
I am getting so busy now too with the holidays coming up. Blogging is getting difficult...
Dear Sharon, the coat looks fab on you. You've done the right thing keeping it, I've heard the same as Vix, it's supposed to be -2 in London this week, then snow!
How lovely to break up for Christmas now. I've been terrible this year and have hardly bought anything yet. Have a fabulous break and a very Happy Christmas xx
That's a great coat, I think it will be perfect for Christmas events! Have a great break and a lovely Christmas. PS you're right Make Do's post definitely has given me something to think about!
I'm glad you decided not to get rid of that coat - it looks fantastic on you and it's such a timeless piece! I'll be saving my Christmas pennies for gifts as well, so I definitely can't go around spending money on myself either!
You are absolutely right, Sharon - this coat looks super chic (& camel and all ;) and cosy.
Hope you'll have a lovely Christmas break - can't wait to hear back from you soon! xoxo

Hi MyStye
I've just discovered you via Make Do Style and I love your blog and I love your coat. There is just something so gorgeous and glamourous about faux fur even when worn with jeans. I've been hunting thrift stores for years but can't seem to find one I really love. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Have a good christmas.

Well done on the reassessment- definitely a good choice. Coat looks fab on you; it's very similar to one of mine too :)
Sometimes if I'm after something new, I put some items on ebay and allow myself to bid on something to the value that I sell mine for- feels like I've earnt it then ;)

Hi everyone-thanks so much for your kind and lovely comments, they are very much appreciated!! xxx
