Thrift Inspiration, Kate Moss Style

Kate Moss is currently in a new promo video for Dior Addict lipstick- for fans of her and Dior Addict check her video out here from todays article in the Daily Mail

Off duty yesterday, Kate was apparently overseeing renovations to her new house. Of course I was immediately drawn to her rock chic, dressed down outfit-a 70s black leather jacket, whichh appears to be cut from a longer length coat?

Well, it certainly is the 'look of the day' for me!!

Its inspired me to start wearing my black leather Simpsons of Piccadilly jacket that I thrifted last year, which is a vintage 70s number.

What item of clothing are you being inspired to wear this Spring?

Love that jacket Sharon! I'm on the lookout for a leather 70s safari jacket at the moment. xx

really cool, love your jacket! I do own a very similar one from the 70s, made of tan suede and I love it! Got it from London for a bargain price :)

I've recently been inspired by 70s rock princesses (Stevie Nicks etc') - denim, lace, scarves, maxis, pretty-disheveled hair and make up.

You can't beat a bit of 70s rock chick!

She looks fab as do you. The jacket is fantastic and I bet you got it for an amazing price too!

I agree with Kate, yours is the nicer! I like her idea of chopping it off to a shorter length though, often those very long jacket can be so frumpy despite the quality xx

Like your seventies leather - I'm still wearing my old Levi's flares so I'll probably just carry on!

I'm looking forward to wearing anything that is non-heavy - winter coats & jackets weigh on my shoulders and by this time of year I'm eager to throw them away...... can't wait to wear some light clothes now.

I love those 1970's shirt-style leather jackets. I bought mine on one of my first charity shopping dates with Jon in 1993 and it's still going strong. I love it.
You and Kate are both working the rock chick look. I'll be joining you in the brown coat I got from yesterday's car boot. xxx

OK, so now you've inspired me. I think that I will wear my black leather jacket. I will soften it up with pastels and a skirt instead of going rock chick with leggings and boots.

Love the jacket! The cut is so flattering and classic. Kate looks fab as always, but I think her jacket/coat would look a little dated on anyone else. I've been wearing my leather jackets a lot as well and I'll definitely be wearing them more this spring!

Dear Sharon, your jacket is lovely. I think Kate looks great in the ad. Dior sent it to me yesterday afternoon but I'm only blogging once a day now so I'm going to have to think of something to bump the post up a bit.

Have a great day, it's good to see the sun out. C xx

Love your jacket Sharon!!! I think you look better than Kate (I'm not a fan of her... I know I must be careful saying that I'm a dead woman lol).

Hope you'll have a nice weekend, dear

I LOVE this style! The 70s leather jacket was one of my first ever pieces of vintage, given to me by my friends uncle (who must've been tiny back then as it was abit small even for me) Unfortunately i wore it so much through my years it ended up in a very sorry state and i had to throw it away.
It looks great. Totally fresh again. I'm loving it!
