Capsule Wardrobe Weekend Styling with Femme Luxe

Choosing key pieces to have a casually styled weekend away!

Hi everyone! Now Lockdown is getting less restricted, plans are afoot for a cheeky weekend away in the next few weeks if the weather and lockdown continues to go well! 

With this in mind, I decided to choose some stylish sets and t shirts from Femme Luxe, who have some really cute and fashionable choices for dressing up or down!

So part of my capsule weekend away wardrobe would definitely include this soft and ever so comfortable 'Maria' grey loungewear tracksuit for my down time in between sightseeing and going out for lunch and dinner. 

This two piece is excellent value for money and I think it looks so much more expensive than what it actually is!! If you're on the hunt for 'the' perfect loungewear suit- consider this one- it also comes in different colours too:

This is a really great two piece which is already a firm favourite of mine and is ideal for comfortable travelling, whether that's in the car, on the train or flying!! It's very light and easy to wear and I sized up for a more looser, classic fit and feel.

This next outfit choice is a definite winner for me for a day of sightseeing and running around- I really love the casual chic vibes of this 'Veda' lilac tie dye t shirt paired with denim cut offs- this is a really easy and fashionable daytime look to achieve and if I'm by the coast I'll pair it with flip flops or if I'm in town or sightseeing then I would slip on a pair of trainers for feeling comfortable:

This next outfit choice is ideal if you want a quick and easy daytime to evening look- just switch trainers to a pair of metallic slides and your ready for an evening dinner, drinks at the bar or a coast walk along the marina! A black top for me is an ideal transition piece for day to evening dressing:

  

The 'Ooh La La' slogan t-shirt with a short denim skirt has really summer chic vibes and 

is a look I'm really enjoying wearing at the moment! This t-shirt can also be worn oversized with leggings and even the loungewear pants above- they are definitely my number one choice for versatility and style for Summer!

For travelling home in fashion and comfort, I had to have the Maria loungewear set in khaki too!

I'm so impressed with how it feels on- I do recommend sizing one up if you prefer your loungewear not to be too tight fitting. The khaki is such a lovely colour and like the grey set, will take me effortlessly into Autumn with a denim or leather jacket slung over for those cooler days of dressing:

So not much packing to do with these outfit choices and I love how I can mix and match the loungewear pieces with the t shirts and denim to create different looks and styles!

Lockdown Loungewear from Femme Luxe

Relax in Style with these fashion forward summer picks!

Good Morning to you! With a week of changeable weather, I was really pleased to have these lovely comfortable and stylish pieces from Femme Luxe which are ideal for lockdown loungewear, whether you are relaxing or working from home.

This first loungewear set is called 'Everleigh' and is perfect for daywear or evening relaxation- it features a plain black t shirt and full length leggings and the top can be worn oversized, or as seen here, knotted at the front.

If I'm venturing out then I would add a simple denim or leather jacket to keep this look casual chic and understated for a day of lunching and lounging!

I really find this second set I chose really cute and stylish- this is the Estelle loungewear set and it is super comfy! If I was travelling by plane or car I will definitely be wearing this as it is so airy and light to wear and I love the cropped feel to it: 

I liked the set so much I ordered the grey set too! This set is a perfect daytime look, whether I'm lunching, shopping or simply lounging- I know I'll be wearing these sets on rotation as I'm really happy they are both fashion forward and super comfy!!

I really love a nod to the '90s', and this Beverley Hills oversized t shirt is a real winner- it looks a really casual chic piece and will go with so much in my wardrobe- I'm pairing it with the Femme Luxe leggings here on a working from home day, but it will look equally as good with jeans or a denim skirt- how do you like wearing oversized t shirts?

You may remember I featured the white 'La Femme' t shirt in my last post and as I liked the look and quality so much I ordered the black one this time around!

I think this black version of  the 'La Femme' t shirt looks great with leggings for a fun daytime relaxed look but would look really good as a night time look with leather jeans or a black denim skirt! It's really so comfortable as well!

What items are you finding you are enjoying to wear during lockdown? I really am finding that casual co-ordinates and t shirts and leggings are winning choices for me, if I'm working from home or just generally lounging!

Thrift Inspiration - Vintage Preloved Jewellery from eBay

Thrifted Preloved Jewellery 

Hi everyone! I really love costume jewellery and generally I enjoy sourcing pieces from boot sales and charity shops. Obviously I haven't been able to do this recently so I decided to check out what eBay have had to offer.

There are some great vintage costume jewellery brands around from the 80s and 90s and eBay is the ideal place to source preloved or secondhand pieces for really good prices, either by auction or through buy it now.

I've wanted a rope chain necklace for a very long time and a recent search brought up this great find- real good vintage finds stand the test of time and this necklace is by a brand called Trifari, who do some lovely items and are such good quality:

It has a good weight to it and it has not discoloured in any way- if you are going to invest in vintage costume jewellery then choose a reputable, established brand and your item will last a long time.

I also sourced this cute diamante necklace which is also a Trifari find and it was less than £10 so a real bargain which I really enjoy wearing:

Day and Evening Looks with Femme Luxe

Summer Style in wine, black and white

Hello there! It's great to be back after such a long absence- My love of style and fashion has brought me back to blogging and when the Girls at Femme Luxe contacted me to feature some of their pieces, I decided to choose some really great staples that will see me through from day to evening for all and any occasions!

For summer, I really like dresses and also denim and a simple t-shirt or cotton blouse- I think a minimal outfit is a great stylish look at this time of year and a dress or denim and t-shirt are the perfect seasonal uniforms for your Summer wardrobe.

So with this in mind I've opted for my favourite summer daytime look!

 This first outfit choice is a slogan print t-shirt and denim combination, I really think this a great sunny casual style to piece together and the top is essentially oversized too, so it can be styled in lots of different ways!

Next I decided to style this t-shirt with this cute wine colour bodycon dress for a smart casual daytime look, ideal for lunching with the girls or sightseeing in style and comfort:

Then in the evening, a change of sandals, take off the top and it instantly transforms to a stylish evening dress which I can pair with a jacket on cooler evenings!

I really love this black ribbed jumper dress which is a real year round piece- It's ideal for to wear smart casual during the day......

Or can be worn dressed up in heels for the evening or simply relaxing in style curled up on the sofa!

We all need a black slinky dress in the wardrobe too and this one is perfect for any season and any smart occasion and if I do want to go from day to evening, then I would add a t shirt or denim jacket to it and dress it down a bit! 

What colours are you craving this Summer? For me, black, red or white are perfect colours to mix and match and really compliment each other to make a chic and stylish look whatever the season!

Florals and Denim- Always In Style

So Summer is hitting and for me its all about florals and denim- either together or separate, these are two trends for this season that never seem to date or go out of style.

I love denim skirts for summer and always try and make sure I| have denim skirts not just for work-yay- I'm fortunate I can wear denim as part of my work uniform- but of course for leisure and social occasions too! I tend to go for a shorter hem line and right now there is plenty at high street level for all tastes!

I picked up this skirt in Zara a couple of months ago- a very reasonable £25 and still instore:

So when I went shopping this weekend and stopped off at a larger Sainsburys as a pit stop for my mate, we couldn't help but have a browse through the TU clothing range.

I can never pass through TU without wanting something and in the larger branch I was in they had an amazingly large section of fashion and accessories at half price or less.

So two for less than the price of one!! I found this cute scalloped edged hem skirt and the studded unfinished hem skirt, what a bargain indeed and perfect for the festival and holiday season that I've got coming up!!

The one thing about denim is you can style it up or down- a pretty chiffon blouse or a faded band tee work so well with a denim skirt or shorts and paired with bejewelled or metallic sandals will take you into a casual stylish evening look too!
