Found-Breton oversized tee!!

On Saturday I decided not to go to the boot sale as I'd had a busy week at work and felt too tired to walk all of it-once I'm there, I can't just do a part of it, I have to do it all, in case I'm missing out on anything!!

Instead I went into town and had a browse. I managed to get a silver lurex bolero cardi from H&M for half price-£5 and of course I had a look in the charity shops.

Even though I had bought my Jane Norman navy and white striped camisole vest, I still was hankering over an oversized tee and also preferably an authentic Breton one. I had scanned ebay, but didn't see anything I liked. So, I was very pleased to come across this one from Armor Lux, an authentic Breton clothing company

Fete Des Mouettes is also an annual event held at Douarnenez, so I assume these tees were specially made by Armor Lux for the occasion.
It was only £1-tres bon, I believe, LOL!!

I love that Breton top. I had one once around 1991. I bought it from the Sunday Times and wore it to death when I was pregnant with my eldest child. I will have to dig out a photo.
I don't know where it went but I have been coveting one ever since.
When I was looking through my Guardian for inspiration yesterday I cut out a pictur eof Sian Phillips from the weekend magazine. She was wearing a Breton top and she looked so timeless. I think that is the appeal of them.

What a great classic, a real wardrobe staple. I have looked at them online from the breton company but haven't bought one as worried about what the stipes will do for my ample bust.

Hiya Sharon.
Well done on the find! That oversized tee is killer, and I especially love the print.

Have fun with it and I'd love to see what you pair it with.

Also, have a lovely week

It's amazing to find something one is actually looking for. I tend to find things I'm NOT looking for.

I had a Breton-style tee (just like yours: white with thin navy stripes) in the '80s when I was a child, and I just loved it! Wore it everywhere. Don't think I could carry this look off now as I'm top-heavy, but it brings back wonderful memories! Also, I think on you it would look fab. It's such a classic look.

Hi Anusha-thanks my dear, maybe you could try one with bootcut jeans-I reckon that would be a great look on you!!
