ThriftMyStyle January wishlist pieces from PrettyLittleThing.com

January is all about assessing what gaps you have in your wardrobe and creating a wishlist in order to have said items enhance what you already have and make styling an outfit that more effective.
I was very fortunate to be gifted some fabulous pieces from PrettyLittleThing.com and when I was asked what I would like I thought of my wishlist. I am into red this winter so jumped at the chance to have the Emilia red tassel satchel which satisfies the 'red' craving and also my current lust of cross body bags:

It's an ideal length and has enough compartments and space for an ideal everyday bag:

Another item that I was lacking in my wardrobe was a pair of tan ankle boots so I picked these heeled tan buckle boots which have studded detailing on the front-a perfect day to night ankle boot and a perfect colour for them to go with virtually any colour outfit. I have teamed the bag and boots with my all thrifted Pepe London camo jacket, H&M denim shirt and River Island black skinny jeans.

I love how the red bag brings out the detailing on my jacket too:

The boots run true to size (I am a size 8) and I am wearing thermal socks with them and am most comfortable in them too!

A big thanks to Lucy at Wingfield PR and also to PrettyLittleThing.com -you have certainly fulfilled my winter style cravings!

Oh you look fantastic! Love that pop of red which is something I want to do as well now I've overcome my fear of red things lol. It goes so well with the khaki - something else I wanted to address with the red - I already have khaki pieces but felt they need more than neutrals with them.
And tan boots are always great - yours look wonderful!

Nice choices! I've just checked on the website and found a pair of Molly studded heels that I want, like the prices too. xx

I'm so into cross-body bags too, for the first time since -- like -- the '70s I think! I want them for concerts mostly. Who wants to carry a handbag while dancing :-)

Love the red bag, it's style, colour and of course the tassel! You've reminded me that I passed on a pair of ankle booties at the thrift shop yesterday. Yours are sassy - the studs are great. Xo

Whoa! Did you get a hair cut? Am I slow to notice? I LIKE it!

And the way your cross-body red bag brings out the jacket detail is great! I've been looking for a red bag. Maybe one of these days I'll find the "right" one.

Yay, I'm not the only one with big feet (8 also!) Love this whole look- the bag is brilliant and it's great the way it picks the details out! I really would like some tan boots too but never seem to find the perfect ones!
