The LBB- My 'Go To' Black Bag Style Essential

Hi everyone! This post is about the everyday, go to, no fuss LBB-little black bag. Like many of  you, I do have a selection of different bags ranging from shoulder bags to totes to clutches in an array of colours and from vintage to high street to designer.
Generally though when I am out and about on an everyday basis and I'm not going anywhere in particular without the need to impress or dress up then an everyday little black bag is my perfect partner.
I was fortunate to find this lovely little black bag by Kipling in the British Heart Foundation charity shop a couple of Autumns ago for only £5.99.
What drew me to it was the shiny gold hardware and detailing and the easy clean nylon material which even to now has not faded and still looks great and feels like an up to date version of the classic nylon Prada bags of the 90s. It slings easily over my shoulder and fits snugly under my arm and I can get so much into it considering it looks a small bag-no holding my umbrella! Plus it has a good variety of outer and inner compartments too:

No fur monkey here, his portrait is now emblazoned on the gold hardware!!

I still love the bright and shiny gold detailing on this cute bag!

Do you have a particular 'go to' bag that you just can't help using, despite the many you already own?

Here's wishing you all a really lovely weekend, lets hope now it's the start of March that Spring will now be in the air to stay!

Actually, I don't own so many bags. I've just never gotten into the changing out of bags from one occasion to the next....But I DO have a comfortable black bag that I'll probably work well past its prime!

Yours (here) is of similar style to my current favorite. Soft, flexible, just about the right size with a compartment or two, attractive, and versatile enough to go from appointment to appointment...Oh! And the price was right, too!

Hi Sharon, I have not used a single other bag since I got my fossil bag I featured on the blog. It's simply perfect in every way. I can't imagine changing it now until I get my brighter coloured ones out for the summer. Love when you find a great black bag. What a bargain you got there! Have a great weekend lovely lady, Avril x

Sooo hard to have a go-to bag when you have so many! But I tend to use a black leather one with amazing hardware handmade by a talented bag maker in Montreal, Canada. It has two detachable straps, long and short, that clip on. Either that it a slightly beat-up French-made bag I thrifted, by Lancel. I love so many styles and colours of bags but, like yours, you can't go wrong with an interesting black oversize bag as a go-to bag! Xo

Yes, I definitely have a couple of black bags, exactly like that as well. The one I use the most is a black Longchamp, I think.
This bag is really cute, I really like it :)

Yes I have lots of hand bags but I always end up using the same across the body handbag as I just don't seem to have enough hands to carry a bag and it is more practical with the children. I love your charity shop find, definitely inspired to get out charity shopping again soon!

I change my purse all the time but I do have a few that are my favorites. Stunning, Kipling purse, especially all of the shiny hardware.
