Freebies and nautical thoughts!! Tagged, too!!

You all know I love a freebie, so this months Elle had to be purchased. Not only have they got the separate runway guide for autumn, but there is a free Warehouse vest too. There are 4 colours to choose from-mine is a khaki beige colour-get yours now!!

I also went thrifting and was pleased with my purchases. I got a vintage 70s Marks and Spencer vest for £1 and this lovely yacht skirt, which is modern but looks vintage inspired, for £2.99. I thought it would go very nicely with my new shoes from yesterday!

The lovely Emma also tagged me, so here goes 6 uninteresting facts, all about me!
1. My favourite ice cream is currently walnut and advocaat, from Aldis-so delicious!!
2. I really love courgettes-my favourite vegetable of the moment.
3. I love a bargain and rarely like paying full price for any clothes related items!!
4. My new favourite colour is red.
5. I want Nadal to win Wimbledon this year!
6. I need to catch up with my washing duties-a mothers work is never done-haha!!
All my lovely blogger friends-consider yourself tagged if you so wish!!

Red Shoe Fix-Solved in the supermarket!

Well I had to go to my local supermarket, Tescos to get a few things before work this morning and I couldn't walk past the shoe section without having a proper look, could I? I spied these perfect red canvas wedge peep toe sandals for only £10, so in the basket they went!
These are ideal for summer and hopefully will go with a lot of my summer wardrobe too!!
I only have to find black shoes now, but I want patent or leather for these.

Preen Power Cocktail Dress

Well, if money was no object, I'd have one in black and one in red-I'm loving Preens Power Cocktail dress, as worn by Agyness, Gwyneth and Amy, all in their own stylish chic ways.

The wide straps enable you to wear a bra and make shoulders look slimmer, tucks and pleats across the boobs are ideal for flat chested or busty gals, an extra panel across the tummy area gives extra support and the viscose/elastane mix material moulds to the body. It's also lined with a tube of power net which is a tough contouring mesh used in corsets.

I totally love the body con style dress and I think this dress is totally inspirational if looking for that LBD!!

Sunday

Sundays boot sale was really no good-sometimes the bargains are there for the taking but the only thing I picked up-admittedly it was an ultra cheap buy, was this See by Chloe top for 20p!

In the afternoon, we went to St Katherines Docks in the east end of London, where all the rich people park their yachts off the River Thames! Its really lovely here-an ideal place for a picnic, or relaxing drinks or to have some dinner!

We are all going back soon, to make a full day of it, as it is an ideal base to explore the rest of London-the Tower, London Bridge, the South Bank!

Boot Sale-Safari Dress with scarf, plus more bags!!

Silje did a safari dress post a while ago and because the weather was nice today, I thought I would wear mine and also add in a scarf, as promised, in my earlier scarf post!!
Funnily enough, when checking Silje's post today, she had the exact same idea to wear her lovely Carrie inspired safari dress too!! I think its the Gemini connection with us-its not the first time we've had these similiar thoughts!!
The dress was purchased a few years ago from a charity shop and is by Warehouse. I wear it year in, year out and as its gets really hot at the boot sale, I thought I would wear my silk Jaeger scarf too-my new Primark jellies complete the ensemble with my Topshop fringed bag!!

I fell in love with this bag today, as the embroidery on it is soo lovely and the fishes are really cute-haha!! Chris treated me, so that was ok!!

Another chain bag, but a 'Tula' leather one, for only £1!!
