Dress for the day- plus, making do

Although not sunny, it is very humid today, so I thought I'd wear my vintage sundress with my new red Primark belt-I didn't even need a cardi or jacket!

While Christopher was in the dentist with his dad and brother, I went thrifting and still didn't turn up any tartan/plaid for Autumn... I'm not too fussed, as until I find something really worth buying (if anything), I shall think of wearing my Vintage Yves Saint Laurent silk plaid top in Autumn under a cardi or leather jacket, with jeans or trousers.

Monday morning blues-jeans and jacket!!

It was very windy and dull this morning-hey, whats new for the beginning of August-which is why I look a bit fed up and windswept-haha!!

Due to the ever changing weather we are having, todays outfit is the blazer I bought recently-it is navy with white hearts all over it and navy heart buttons, It is by Jaeger and was £2 at the boot sale. The long line grey vest top is by Gap, about £3, from the charity shop.

The jeans are low slouch widelegged jeans by Levi's and were £5 from the charity shop. Because the weather is so up and down, I'm fed up of floral dresses and starting to think more of Autumn. I went thrifting earlier, hoping to bag something in red tartan, but nothing doing. I didn't come back empty handed as I got a black shoulder bag by Carven, a slip, a short suit (romper!) for Eastbourne next week and a silk top by Gap.

Latest Ebay buys!!

My latest Ebay purchases came in the post yesterday and I'm soo pleased with both-especially as they fit well-thats the only downside to buying online!!

It has the trademark Leonard tropical flowering and colours and is in exquisite condition. It has gorgeous sleeves and is made in a silk jersey, with Leonard printed randomly over the material. It is short, so I will wear it with either ankle length leggings and heels, or opaque thick tights or with trousers and then loosely belted to give it a tunic feel!!

This is a vintage 70s Trina Lewis Marjon Couture dress, which I got for less than £10-a steal, I think!! It is in excellent condition and I wanted a red dress and a prom style, so a vintage bargain that had to be snapped up!! I said a little while ago I wasn't going to buy from Ebay for a while-that so went out the window!!! Never publicly announce something you intend to do-from my experience the exact opposite happened and on more than one occasion!! But to be fair too, I don't regret any of the Ebay buys (about 4 in the last month!) so thats a good thing too!!
