Party!!

Just a quickie to say I went to my friend's sons 21st party yesterday, which was fabulous!! Lots of drink, delicious food and dancing which I totally enjoyed!! I wore the dress with a pashmina, diamante earrings and bracelet and my pearly gold clutch!!

Boot Sale Sunday-No bags but vintage designer bargains!!

Well it was a good result at the boot sale for bargains today-I spent a total of £5 and I got some designer bargains in this, so I was well pleased :-)

These first two are of the vintage 80s body con Thierry Mugler top I got for only 50p-yes, 50p!! The man wanted a £1, but he couldn't change a £5 note, so I gave him the only coin I had at that time 50p-ha ha!! I also got these DKNY sateen dress skinny trousers for only £1, too!

I was also chuffed to see this vintage Celine silk tea dress for- yes, you guessed it-50p!! I must admit, it's not my style, but walking pass this is like walking past Chanel or Hermes for 50p-peanuts, huh!! I do like the dress, but I am wondering whether I would wear it-I'll keep it and see if an occasion does arise!!

Then, on talking about sequins in yesterdays post and seeing rice and beans vintage blogspot post on sequins, gave me the inspiration to buy this for £1 too! I could wear this over a top or be daring and wear it with nothing underneath-done up, of course!!

I didn't buy just for myself- I also got little Robert an NBA Lakers basketball vest (tank) for £1!

UPDATED TO ADD-I'm thinking about cutting the skirt off the Celine dress to leave a blouse-what do you think? Or, I could alter it and make the length shorter-opinions please!!

Christopher Kane-Thrift Inspiration

I found Christopher Kanes collection quite inspiring for this summer-it was fun to see faded denim back in fashion again-I purposely thrifted my River Island faded denim cropped jacket and my Diesel faded denim skirt to fit in this current trend!

I thought I would check out his fall collection and although I don't intend on buying winter clothes just yet (!), it has inspired me with some thoughts of what I could thrift if similiar items are to be had- I particularly love the jumper dress, the sequinned cardi with the LBD and the sleeveless coat over the chiffon dress- I think these trends can be obtainable through the high street (maybe not just yet) and by thrifting!!

So although many of us are thinking summer, if you do go thrifting keep your eyes peeled for any winter items that can translate these trends, if you love them like me!!

Uniqlo-Check it out!!

I found Uniqlo by chance on a trip to London a few weeks ago and fell in love with their cool separates which are so reasonably priced. They are a Japanese company and do collaberations with designers to produce lovely pieces-these particular dresses are all by Alexander Wang and are all only £24.99!!

Chloe modelling for them!! I have this vest too!! 2 for £19.99!! What a bargain!!
