The one main item I'm coveting for Autumn is a grey boyfriend cardigan. I've seen a ladies version in Marks and Spencer for £25, but it is thinner than what I preferred, although the style is nice. I also liked in the mens section a grey lambswool one, very similiar to picture 3 below. The pictures I've shown are all from Gap.com and I'm hoping these will be available in the UK branches, as these are the ones I like best. I am going to try and thrift for one first, but getting brand new from Gap or Marks and Spencer generally assures quality, so I may bite the bullet and treat myself to a brand new one-whoo hoo!!

I really like this one, very unusual sleeve details, plus I like the stripes!!
I like this one, a classic which will never date, although there are no pockets-the mens M&S one is practically the same, but does have pockets.

I'm sure you'll win the thrifting challenge on this one! I got my b/friend cardi at Zara - I grabbed it when I saw it back in mid July and I popped in today to check even more new stock and the one I got has gone. I reckon these cardies are a season winner.

Hi kate-In the last 6 months I've seen quite a few boyfriend style cardis whilst thrifting, but as it was coming up to summer then, I just left them behind-duh!! Now, it will be typical that I don't see any-I should have done what you did!! I am hankering after something from Gap, so I might pop in there by the weekend and see what they have to offer! Oh I love the middle one too! That sleeve detail is what sold me. Urban Outfitters has an interesting preppy cardi that has stripes on the arm and a crest patch that I'm eying.
I really want one of those long slouchy ones.
