Denim jackets are bang on trend for Spring and Summer, worn with a floral maxi or vintage dress on warmer days or over woollies when the weather is on the turn, they are a stylish classic that always tend to be in fashion.
I thrifted this jacket from Sue Ryder charity shop for £4.45 and its the ideal companion for my floral dresses that I just can't wait to wear.

And cult label Current/Elliot have this fabulous denim 'Snap' jacket available at Net-A-Porter for £220, which is also a stylish, timeless classic and bound to be in the wardrobe for years to come.

One of my favorite denium jackets had a black velveteen collar. I loved to have it over my sun dresses.

Of course I'm attracted to the most expensive jacket! I love the tight cut of the sleeves and the wash. Maybe I'll luck out at my local thrift!
I happen to have a few denim jackets, but they are all different in their washes and cuts. I usually wear them over a simple white t and a full skirt, or over a colorful top and white linen pants and flats....Oh, I can't wait for the spring to come! :)

Yep, no matter how 'in' or 'out' denim jackets are, I always have a few around the place as they always work. Effortless and like you said, work perfectly over summer dresses.

The only denim jacket that's looked good on me is one I got in Sri Lanka for the equivalent of $4 (a garment factory leftover)! The brand is "Fubu" ... not familiar with that, but it's curvy and flattering, unlike most denim jackets which don't flatter me at all as I'm top-heavy.
But I'm on the lookout for a lighter colored denim jacket too. Wish the thrift/charity shops around here had a good one, but so far no such luck. :o(
I do adore the Current/Elliott one, by the way! But then I'm madly in love with pretty much anything by that brand. Just wish I could afford it, lol!
