I've been waiting for some cooler weather to wear my Issey Miyake cardigan/jacket. When I did its debut post, I had worn it done up but I wanted to wear it as an open cardi, showing off the waterfall effect it gives.
I'm wearing my plum suede ankle boots and my Gap draped cerise tee-everything worn is a charity shop find, surprise, surprise!!
So. this is my summer to autumn default outfit-cardi/jacket, tee, jeans and ankle boots. What is your transitional outfit of choice?

Lovely! Well Spring just began for those of us down Sydney-way so my transitional outfit is spring dress - ankle length leggings - RL blazer with sleeves rolled up and a pashmina.

I love jackets too! I Love Autumn! This looks great on you, Love the waterfall look.
I have been tempted to wear a shrug scarf. Its a scarf with sleeves. I usually wear it around the house to keep warm in when its really cold, but its nice on those mild days too. I need another one. I initially got it to study so I could crochet one. I so love the crochet one I saw Oprah in one time on her show. But I've never found the pattern for it.
I love, love, love, Issey Miyake! I always have and suspect that I always will.
You look fab as usual. The fall is coming in here in the States and I'm looking forward to pulling out my wonderful leather jacket and whatever fall finds I can acquire.
I love that the colors purple and red are big this year. Red has always been a favorite of mine.

Absolutely love that cardi. Fall is my favorite time of year because it means layering. I don't have one transitional outfit of choice, but I do know that they all include cardis or jackets!

I found a long hooded cardigan sweater in a thrift store recently and it's the perfect transition piece. Goes over a t-shirt and jeans on any cool day or evening. It also works well dressed up with black pants and a nicer top. I wear it all the time!
