One of the upcoming trends for next season is Opulence, as highlighted in Augusts edition of Harpers Bazaar. I do enjoy their catwalk features of whats new and it inspired one of my recent thrift purchases:
I found this cute little bolero jacket by Mark One (now defunct) in the Salvation Army charity shop and it was marked down to £1!! So I just had to buy it.
Its versatile for wearing in the summer, with a black cami top and jeans and in winter I'll wear a long sleeve black wool polo neck jumper and black cigarette pants with it:

I think the economy is picking up uh... I am not big on the opulent look but a piece here and there will be nice.

That jacket is a great find. I don't own anything that could be considered 'opulent' but I'm definitely intrigued to look out for something that would match my tastes!
i've always thought that by nature of their tiny-ness, boleros HAVE to be opulent, and this one does the job bang-on.
opulence next season? definitely! england is so cold these days . . it's time to pile on the luxe.

I've noticed I've had to reconstruct clothes lately I already have instead of buying clothes..so I have my doubts.

Sure will! I really adore beading and velvet in winter, it makes me feel warm inside LOL! Love the jacket, I picked up a ridiculous matador jacket in Cow its black velvet with gold embroidery, very opulent (or hidious to most people), but I love it x
I love the opulent look. I tend to wear simple lines then throw something OTT on with it. I am really bad at casual dressing! xx
