In Harpers Bazaars last catwalk report, faux fur is a trend that will be very popular for the Winter season. As I already have a couple of faux fur coats in my wardrobe I wanted to add some gilets, as I don't have any winter ones and I do think they are a perfect layering piece and are very versatile in that they can be styled with virtually any type of outfit.
I visited the boot sale today and managed to nab two gilets-this faux fur cream one by New Look for £2

I'm looking for a fur vest too for this season. I am staying away from the faux and looking for a vintage fur gillet that won't be too bulky.

I love your bargains, I'd just seen an advert for Next where the model is wearing a vintage style blouse and a winter white fur waistcoat, they look really nice together. I'm still not totally sure about the faux fur trend but I got a faux fur gillet from Gap in 2004. I'm thinking of tailoring it and adding a brooch to give it a new lease of life!
