Chunky knits are perfect for winter and Aran knits have always been in style, Topshop have this one available now for £48
I was lucky enough to thrift my Aran cardigan in the Salavation Army charity shop back in September, I laundered it and put it away, knowing it would come out in the colder weather:
Its been quite mild this week, so I've not needed a coat and layered my vintage Levis shirt and LBD with the cardigan and my black over the knee boots
My cardigan was only £2.99 and it washed up well with no shrinkage either, so I'm sure it will be a keeper in the wardrobe for a while.

Dear Sharon, I love aran cardigans. I haven't had one since I was a kid. The Top Shop one is lovely but yet again you've found an amazing bargain that looks fabulous! You have a very good eye. Hope you're having a great weekend xx

I too am loving Aran knits this winter. I managed to find a gorgeous one second hand, which is sitting on my washing line this minute. There'll be no chills for me this winter. I love your cardy.
That Aran cardi looks lovely on you, very classic cut and shape. There's Aran madness at the moment, the vintage shops are charging £45 for horrible shrunken ones, you got a real bargain. xxx
I have a big snuggly cream cardi too, although it's not cabled :( But it cost me £3! Bargain.
Well found! I feel dreadful that over the years I've lost 2 aran jumpers both knitted by my dad!!
I want some really simple classic knitwear, I've heard good things about uniqlo - so I think I'll give them a try.
Aran knits are great, I have always loved them - am wearing one right now actually!

I loooove Aran cardigans! Unfortunately they never look good on me since I'm top-heavy, but I wish I could wear them as well as you. :o)
I'm on a hunt for some sweaters this winter myself, but in finer knits. I just ordered a Free People one which I adored (and it went on clearance!) online, though it's backordered. But I'm on the lookout for more knits. Definitely need them in my wardrobe.

The cardigan is great! I love that my grandma has knitted so many sweaters like these and now they're all in!
