I bought this vintage 70s Wrangler denim skirt quite a while ago, but I've only worn it to be photographed as it unfortunately doesn't really fit me!! Well it fits, but is too snug on the waist-its meant to be high waisted, but is more suitable for a size 8 or a small waisted 10, so off it goes to the vintage fashion fair if its not snapped up before.
I kept it hanging in the wardrobe thinking it may well be fine to wear, but the photo session this morning was as long as I could do. I love the back pocket details, it really is a great find and is just waiting to go to the right gal to enjoy and wear!
Measurements are: Waist 26 inches, length 24.5 inches, hips 36 inches-for any one interested, I'll be selling it for £20.
Have you had many pieces that you've hoped will fit, but sadly don't?

Sorry to hear this pretty sirt is not ideal for you - it looks lovely on you by the way. XX
Half my wardrobe doesn't fit right, I can never resist things tho!
What a shame but great for Vintage Fair. I can't fit into most things at the moment lol xx
Lovely skirt, if only I was skinny enough to wear it!

Great pocket details!
Love the pocket details, it will definitely get snapped up in the fair.
I've definitely had a few sad moments with clothes being ill-fitting, specifically a thrifted purple pencil skirt with gold buttons down the front that ended up being given away to a skinny friend. :( But that's how it goes with shopping - taking the crunchy with the smooth.
That's a gorgeous skirt, great pocket detail! A belated Happy Birthday to your Mum, I've just been catching up on your posts! xxxx
I've had a ZILLION pieces that I wanted to fit but wouldn't! Even worse are the ones that USED to fit... xx
I usually give away the pieces of clothing that don't fit to my daughters my friends or to the Salvation Army or Goodwill donation centers.
Really like the skirt pockets details and I love the shirt.
Have a lovely weekend, my dear!
what a shame great skirt...I have clothes to fit all sizes in my closet...I kept a pair of skinny, stripey Joseph jeans from when i was 30 thinking being burried in them would probably be the next time they fitted and then a bit of heartbreak lopped off the weight and on went the jeans....always a silver linning!!
What a shame, it looks so lovely on you. I'm sure you'll get a good price, denim seems hugley popular at the moment. xxx
What a shame.. its a great piece..

Cute tee!!
Hi everyone-thanks for all your lovely comments, so kind of you all! xx
Hips are ok, but unfortunately I cannot get under 28-28.5 in waist...What a pity! Such a lovely skirt...Ciao. A.
Per your last question: I could write a book!
The pockets are amazing. By the time I could fit in that skirt, I know it will have been snatched up and long gone!
Re your question at the end of the post - YES! But I had a really good sort out a couple of months ago, and almost everything that doesn't fit has now been sold on Ebay or sent to the charity shop, so I'm feeling pleased about that.
hm, this always is a problem when you buy things on ebay where you don't have the right to send the garnments back if they don't fit :( I always sad about if something doesn't fit, but I sell it instantly. I'm not good at altering clothing and haven't found a good taylor around here. Hopefully, my Odd Molly maxi dress I bought in Ebay.com will fit!
I wouldn't get that done up. I'm currently on because I have a pot belly in some of my dresses! I'm sure someone will snap it up xx
