Wardrobe Addition-Vintage Arctic Fox faux fur

My favourite item of clothing for winter is always a vintage faux fur jacket or coat and I was fortunate to find this vintage 'Arctic Fox' by Glenn Models Ltd, an English vintage faux furrier.

I only found it a few weeks ago at a neighbouring town's St Francis Hospice charity shop and priced at £20, it certainly beats the cost of a new coat from the high street. Its great timing as I can wear it straight away-it is a touch oversized, but thats all the better for snuggling in and wearing with skinny jeans and a wool polo neck for a cosy winter look.

I'm wearing flat brown ankle boots and I think a plain outfit with this pattern of coat is all that is necessary.  My black skinnies are Baxter jeans at Topshop and were last weeks bargain thrift find for only £2.50, my one and only pair of black jeans!

Do you have a favourite winter coat or jacket that you will be wearing soon? I am hoping to visit all my regular blogger friends this week, with a comment hopefully too!!

Wishing you all a great week ahead!!

Excellent find. It looks chic, warm and comfortable, too. Must confess the price you paid is a Bargain;-)

The coat is beautiful and a fraction of the price of a shoddy high street alternative. You look fabulous. x

Oh I love it! Perfect with your outfit, I agree you don't want your clothes to fight with it. Great find on the skinnies too x

I have a black wooly style faux fur that I bought back in the 80's. It cost me a blooming fortune back then but it has done me proud every winter since and still looks like new so it was a worthy investment. :-)

Yeh, I love all my winter coats! For school I can't beat my topshop brown scruffy parka I bought in the Sally Army in Ilford around 9 years ago, going out smart, I love my red and white Coast coat from Cancer research in Romford and for general mooching, my grey faux fur coat from Next which was a Christmas present!
This one looks lovely and snuggly!

I had a similar coat when I lived in NYC back in the 90's.

I love your coat, that is an amazing bargain. I got a faux fur coat from the local charity shop for about £20. I love wearing it as it is so warm.

Gorgeous, gorgeous vintage faux fur!! They just don't make 'em like that anymore. My favorite winter coats are also all vintage ones from the thrift store. The quality is amazing!
