Thrift Inspiration,

Looking ahead to this Summer, vibrant prints and florals are definitely in trend. D&G show how florals are working, form fitted, with ruffles and with vibrancy. This article in the Daily Mail also shows us how to wear vibrant prints, one of the tips being to wear this look fitted.

Topshop also have some lovely printed florals available this season too.

Playsuit, £50

Tea dress, £45

I fell in love with this gorgeous vintage 80s shift dress by Radley this weekend-only £4.99 from the Cancer Research charity shop. It ticks off all this seasons trends-vibrant bold florals, very form fitted and tiered ruffles to the hem!!

This will definitely be a summer favourite for me, which I'll wear with my black leather biker jacket to toughen it up. What is on your radar from this summers trends?

How pretty. Anything bright will do for me at the moment..just thinking of spring even. Anything in a warmer tone than these gray leggins & thigh high leg warmers lugged by snowboots.

florals, checks. small prints ..and very flowy are really sweet. I have a shirt dress that I want to make into a skirt.

Florals never go out of style and I'm really glad! Definitely a summer staple for me as well, along with anything else that's cheerful and bright (ok, I do still wear black during the months as well). Love the dress you found... Radley did some amazing pieces... I saw a few at the V&A a while ago!

I always love Topshop's floral prints, but your find is even better because of the price. I can't wait to see how you wear it in the summer.

Hi everyone-thanks so much for your lovely comments, so much appreciated!!

I like your dress, although I'm not usually keen on flowery dresses or blouses. I think your idea to wear it with a leather jacket is fab, as it would take away the "girly" edge. All the best. Ciao. A.

thanks for the note..i'm sure as summer wears on..even a nice white open shirt will look delightful with it too.

Great dress/love the ruffles!- will be good with that leather jacket!

I have a long small floral patterned dress...I should be "in"! Maybe I'll try a jacket and belt to break up the large surface of pattern...

Thanks for your opinion re. necklace. I did find a one-strand of pearls that fit nicely in the neckline and went fine with the pearl buttons....

Hey Sharon, how r u? I do love florals but I think I may be collecting too many in my closet so right now, I'm on the look out for other patterns and prints. That is a lovely floral dress you've snagged though - great buy!
Take care and enjoy your weekend :)
