Doing a Maxi

Oh my gosh, I've had a pretty awful weekend, no landline phone, no internet access, no car and a stinking cold and an extremely heavy period-no wonder my hormones have been all over the place these past few days!!

On Sunday, despite having nowhere in particular to go, I changed out of loungewear and wore my newly thrifted Monsoon maxi skirt from the British Heart Foundation for only £4.99. I'm wearing my faux fur bolero and my heattech polo neck top.

After my trip out with Kate, I had been lusting after a pair of Topshop palazzo pants, but it didn't happen for me to get them, so the maxi skirt is my longer length alternative option.

I'll wear the skirt in summer with a little cami vest top and a pair of wedges.

Hope you all had a great weekend and wishing you a nice week ahead too.

Was it Billy Crystal who said "It's better to look good than feel good" on Saturday Night Live? You look mahvelous, especially considering how you felt!

What a crappy weekend - Wendy's right, I'm sure getting dressed up in your maxi helped! - hope you're feeling better.

Methinks you very much suit a maxi length.
Have faith in the pallazzo's, I've found a few incredible vintage pairs lurking behind tat ;)

So sorry you're not feeling well. Period pain is the worst! Especially when the weather's bad too. Hope you feel better soon.

And you really should wear more maxi skirts and dresses! This looks so fabulous and bohemian chic on you! I adore maxis but can't carry them off too well, but I have a few that work and are among my favorite clothes. I only wish I could rock the maxis the way you can! ^_^
