Whilst walking to work today, in my local charity shop there was a gold sequin boob tube for about £3. I did like it, but wasn't sure how I would wear it, as I don't go out socially very much (how sad, haha!!)
Anyhow, whilst surfing the 'net, I saw this lovely dress from Antik Batik for £369 and it got me to thinking whether I could wear the boob tube over a t-shirt like the look of this dress?

I say yay!
100% YAY! so festive and pretty...this really is the only time of the year you can get away with so many sequins.
I love the look Sharon, with the right shoes (mega stilettos on that one) I say Yay!
I too say Yay. As long as everything else is kept muted and simple :)
Hi saray-thanks for the first yay my dear!!
Hi emily-yes, too true, it can be the 'Christmas' top, haha!
Hi budget chic-thanks so much for the thumbs up!
Definately yay! Love the idea of dressing down dresses with a tshirt
Go for it, lady. If anyone can pull it off, it's you!
Hi fabulously broke-thanks-I do agree with what you said too.
Hi fashion dreamer-thanks my dear!!
Hi sal-thanks so much-I'll go see if its still there tomorrow!
Hi Sharon Rose...
I too say: YAY! 1000% Great idea: shirtsuit or bodysuit... Hmmm? :)
xoxo: Janet!
P.S.: Buy it & pic, pic! :)
Hi janettaylor-thanks a lot my dear!!
How long is the boob tube? If it's just a strap across the chest I wouldn't do it. But if it's longer, like in the photo, I would. Only difficult thing is which colour t-shirt to combine with GOLD.
I have a sequinned jacket too, and I never know how to wear it because I don't go out very much either ^^ But Christmas day is a wonderful occasion!
Give it a go - the top of the boob tube might kind of squish into the t-shirt in an unflattering way though, and the t-shirt might lump up under the boob tube too. Definitely worth a try though!
I love the look - a definate yay
Of course Yay! You can pull off anything.
Sounds worth a try to me.
I say YAY!
DIY sequins sound pretty risky, though. Hopefully they don't fall off. <3
Hi cate-its boob to waist length I think. Maybe I'll give it a go!
Hi Skye-yes, I was thinking the same about the top underneath, not sure what to do now!
Hi Jules-thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hi lenya-so lovely of you, thanks!!
Hi wendy-thanks a lot my dear!
Hi fashion girl22-thanks for your comment my dear!
i vote yes! you can always pair it down even further by throwing a cardi over the top (kind of like Sal did recently in a post about her new sequined top) or by adding a big thick scarf. fun fun!
I say go for it, but wear it as a wide belt. And be sure to show us pics!
yay, yay for sure!
hey honey, you should get it dear.it be perfect for layering.Imagine wearing under a chiffony blouse and with tailored slacks or under a loose floaty dress.
